It’s Nick’s topic but everyone helps fill out a discussion on the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards. The show was a bit of a mess and the majority of the performances were lackluster, but DJ Cummerbund took home an award, so we have that to celebrate!Song: Phox - “Kingfisher”Coming off the great conversation with Honest Lee last week, Greg’s been keeping an eye out for other tribute albums & The Metallica Blacklist just dropped last week. A tribute to Metallica’s Black Album, celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary this year, it contains over 4 hours of covers by a wild range of artists. He has recently come around though on Metheny’s 1976 breakthrough Bright Size Life. This album was hugely influential for Greg and he’s been trying to get Jay to listen to it for years.
