Raegan built aden + anais while working a full-time job in ad sales and with only $15,000 in initial capital, and didn't quit her 9-5 until they hit the $1 million mark in revenue. After working with a manufacturer to have prototypes made of the swaddling blankets, Raegan knew she was onto something after giving birth to her second daughter and realizing the nurses at the hospital had swiped all her samples. Without an MBA, Moya-Jones took a more grassroots approach to build the brand by going door-to-door to boutiques in her spare time to spark interest in her muslin blankets. In 2013, Prince George emerged from the hospital in aden + anais, subsequently causing the company's site to crash from high demand.
