1103 Practical Prayer - Matthew 14:28

It can be formal or informal, long or short. The important thing is that we are communicating with God and seeking His will for our lives. Peter's prayer is a good example of how we can pray to God. He is asking Jesus for something specific, but he is also submitting to Jesus' will. He is saying, "If it is you, command me to come to you on the water." We can all learn from Peter's example. When we pray, we should be specific in our requests, but we should also be willing to submit to God's will. We should also pray often. The more we pray, the more we will grow in our relationship with God. And the more we grow in our relationship with God, the more He will use us to make a difference in the world.
