110529-0830-Loran Livingston - One Solution
from Central Church
2011-05-29-0830 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning May 29th 2011 in the 8:30 service. Scripture: Matthew 16:13-18; Romans 3:9-18; Psalm 103:10-14 Topic: Jesus the Son Notes: - The root cause of our world’s trouble is sin. One solution: Jesus - How we should view unsaved: under domination of Satan, sick, crippled, blind, dead, wicked, angry... they can only act out their condition - For the church to hate sinners is to miss the heart of Jesus - We know we are the body of Christ when we cry about the condition of sinners and long to help them come to the saving knowledge of Jesus - When saved you have been drawn by the spirit and a process begins - Now you have another enemy who is focused on your demise - None have sought after God... He chose you... “follow me” - We’re trying to get people to follow the church... instead we must create an interest in Jesus by the way we live - Go where they are... they aren’t coming where you are - Know what you believe of Him, not what someone else says they believe - We’re trying to get people to come to Jesus, not straighten them out - We’re trying to figure who is in and who is out... it’s not our business - People don’t get fixed perfectly right away - He has not dealt with us according to our sins
