畫說漢字/圖解《說文解字》/1000個漢字的故事/東漢許慎原著匆（cōng）“匆”字本义为急速、急促，是一个会意兼形声字。篆书的“匆”字形下方是一个心脏的形状，表明急促是一种心理活动；上方是个“囱”，本义是烟囱。从烟囱中冒出的烟是连续不断的，从而表现出一个人心急火燎的样子。隶书中，上面为“匆”，意思是急促，既表字义也表字音；下面为“心”，表示字义。“匆”字的本义沿用至今，如我们常用的“匆忙”“匆匆”等。（心里的急躁如烟囱里的烟一般连绵不断，飞快地要去做某件事。）
