# 111 Authentic Encouragement vs Participation Trophies
from Brian Sussman Show · host Brian Sussman
I'm reading a book written in 1945 by CS Lewis entitled, The Great Divorce. It's about some of the characters one might find in hell. In this case a few are deluded communists who come from families in which they were not properly praised and affirmed, and now as adults believe they are victims of capitalism and its cabal of oppressors. Sound familiar? How do these criticisms compare with authentic encouragement, the likes of which we find in say, the Bible?
