#111 - Broken Barrel Whiskey w/ Founder Seth Benhaim

from Whiskey Noobs · host Whiskey Noobs, LLC

There are a lot of new finishes in the world of whiskey lately, but I think it is safe to say this is the most unique finishing process being utilized today. Broken Barrel Whiskey Co is changing the game by unlocking a new dimension of whiskey: the oak bill. Broken Barrel's whiskeys are made by aging whiskey with broken barrel staves, in order to fine tune the flavor profile. In this episode, we talk about how this process was first created, and we review two of their whiskeys: The Cask Strength (finished) Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (awarded the best Kentucky Finished Bourbon at the World Whiskies Awards), and Heresy (Finished Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey).  Check out Broken Barrel's Products: https://www.brokenbarrelwhiskey.com/home Find them on Instagram @brokenbarrelwhiskey Support the show on Patreon: patreon.com/whiskeynoobs
