This summer Portland's Liz Anjos set out to run and hike the Appalachian Trail faster than anyone else in history, and having had a blazing fast 2:51 marathon PR plus several other notable FKTs, she not only had the pedigree but the right attitude. Enlisting the help of one Warren Doyle (9 thru-hikes, 9 section hikes of the AT and counting) she had the right people in her corner.
