The competitors are there by merit alone, not by invitation or association; they are the original majors. In this week's podcast, we explore the unique qualities which make them so wonderful a test of golf. Plus, explore traditions or idiosyncrasies associated with one but not the other. There has long been the debate about which is the greatest of the majors; frankly, I think this is a rather pointless debate as it is up to the individual to decide for themselves which Major Championship they believe is the most significant test of golf and holds itself accountable to the highest standards and traditions of the game.   In truth, there is nothing to choose between them, and it does come down to personal preference. Often this is more of a Geographic loyalty rather than a detailed analysis So to be clear, this podcast is not about which is better; instead, we explore the Championships in some detail.
