A whole day snapshot of a confident Radio 1 in August 1990, kicking off with that five minute secret dawn montage of jingles. Turned a generation of paperboys into anoraks. Tough to believe that it wasn’t altogether that long ago when you could hear Lindisfarne kick off a day on the Nation’s Favourite. And a touch of Doris Day later. This line up saw Brambles, Mayo, Bates, Schofield, Davies, Wright, Goodier, Peel, Campbell and Harris.
