#113 Exploring a Composites R&D Center and Incubator Platform - live from China

Happy new year from Composites Lounge and the LinkedIn Industry Community.Being in the industrial field for over 30+ years I am always eager to present new trends and technologies. Advanced materials have been trending for a while now. I do remember at around Y2K it commenced becoming the go-to solution and represented a true innovation in many fields.Lately, sustainability has been added and that's why my three content pillars comprise of technology, innovation and sustainability.I am overly glad that my guest Dr. Timo Huber of ACTC will be available for a live talk. ACTC is a bit particular in that it combines the traits of an R&D Centre and an incubation platform. This business model is an innovation in itself and I am truly wondering what are the similarities and differences of ACTC to a manufacturing corporation and a third party testing entity.We will delve into also the TRL, that is technology readiness level that many of you may not be aware of. TRL is a term that describes the maturity level of your innovation and whoever is busy with new product development should be aware of it. Needless to say that the European Commission and other governmental bodies require identification of the beneficiary's TRL for grants.While we have Timo in China, we will show you around the HRC facility. Yes, Timo joins me live from China.
