115 - Funding Open Source, with Gitcoin's Kevin Owoki

Kevin Owoki is the leader behind the Gitcoin project, which is a funds allocation platform, that aims to be the funding platform for open-source development. Kevin brings a unique perspective of what it means to compensate labor in a post-Web 2 world, and helps us compare/contrast Web2 funding models with the experiments going on today.  We discuss the nature of open-source funding, its implications for how companies can be structured, and the problems and solutions created by financial mechanisms built into fund dispersement.
