While it is nice and ever proper to show everyone, even strangers, some basic respect, the basis of that respect differs greatly between Jews and others especially those who do not believe in a God. Judaism, careful to go to great lengths not to disrespect a person, and legislate against disrespecting anyone, even a sinner.
