116. Buffy The Vampire Slayer with special guest Jacob Carrillo

from Movies That Made Us Gay · host Scott Youngbauer & Peter Lozano

"You ruined my new jacket! Kill him A LOT!" We watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) with our friend Jacob Carrillo and we still just want to marry Christian Slater and die. Back before Sarah Michelle Gellar and the "Scooby gang" were galavanting around Sunnydale trying to close the Hellmouth, there was the Buffy movie with Kristy Swanson and the oh-so-dreamy Luke Perry.  Serving as a jumping-off point for the TV series, the movie itself is super charming with its uber 90's cast, wardrobe and overall aesthetic.  Luke Perry in a Caesar cut and soul patch? Swoon!  We can't help but draw parallels to the TV series, but we try to keep the conversation aimed towards the movie.  I mean they're just SO different - movie Buffy is ash blonde, TV Buffy is honey blonde!  Thanks for listening and don't forget to subscribe, rate and review us on Apple Podcasts! www.patreon.com/moviesthatmadeusgay Facebook/Instagram: @moviesthatmadeusgay Twitter: @MTMUGPod Scott Youngbauer: Twitter @oscarscott / Instagram @scottyoungballer Peter Lozano: Twitter/Instagram @peterlasagna
