116. How to Build a Midlife Art Career | Cop Turned Famous Artist

You’ve been responsible for a long time. But there’s a quiet midlife moment when you realize you’ve also been postponing what you really want.In this episode of Midlife Women Entrepreneurs, I sit down with Tim Packer, a former Toronto police detective who walked away from the “safe” path to become a successful artist, teacher, and author. We talk about the one word that changes everything, yet, and why the story “I’m not talented enough” is almost always a mindset problem, not a reality problem. You’ll hear the practical framework Tim uses to help people build skills without getting crushed by perfectionism: practice, process, and product. And you’ll walk away with a simple way to start now, even if you’re starting in your 40s, 50s, or beyond. What we cover: Why “not talented enough” becomes “not talented enough yet” How to stop waiting for confidence and start building it The three modes that help you improve without fear of failing What healthy selfishness looks like in midlife How to start a second act without making failure catastrophicTim’s book: You Can Sell Your ArtGet 5 free chapters + learn more about his courses: https://www.timpackerartacademy.com/ Listen NowAppleSpotify YouTube  Share it with friends who may like it too :)Find me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lynettedale/
