#116: The Discipline of Drumming

There are times when drumming actually isn't very much fun. So here are some mindset shifts we can use to get through the tough times when drumming is more of a discipline than fun activity.Hey there, welcome back to Drummer Daily, I am ... pulling out my hair is not the right word, because I'm not frustrated, I just am so busy. I am in the middle of redoing my website, so there might be some pieces of it you can already see now, depending on when you're listening to this and when you're happening to browse my website, danielhadaway.com. I am trying to redesign the look of it, but more, I'm trying to make it clearer when you come to my website. I've put out so many resources for you as drummers, videos, downloads, YouTube videos, instructional videos, and my plan is to crate a lot more of those coming up soon and actually link them back to what we're talking about in podcasts a lot, so kind of having more free resources associated with what you're hearing about on this podcast.So maybe it could be a thing like, I don't know, I've heard some people say, "Hey, I wish you could demonstrate playing more on the podcast." Well, as I mentioned before, it's kind of tough to do, but maybe what I'm going to try to do is maybe have something like, if I discuss breaking down the subtleties in playing with quiet dynamics on the snare drum, maybe I'll offer a video that's related to that on my website.
