What is going on guys? This is Tanner J. Price on another episode of the daily strike. The kids are down.

My wife is off taking pictures of a new baby being born. She's an amazing photographer and I have the pleasure of being here with you and I'm so excited for it. Sitting outside of the nice cool crisp air tonight, so I'm hoping I can bring some value into your world starting now. One topic that's been on my mind a lot is better summed up by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ than I could ever sum it up myself.

Matthew 7 verse 1, judge not that E.B. not judged. There is a lot to unpack here and I'm not even going to pretend that I understand everything about this because I don't. But I'm here to share with you what I have found in this that has helped me elevate my daily life right now.

I found that, you know, I'm in sales. Let me start there. So I'm in sales and when you're in sales or if you've ever been in sales, you know that there's a game of guessing what the other person is thinking. Maybe trying to make assumptions or we could call it judging what the other person might be thinking.

And because of that, because we're trying to judge what they're thinking, we judge them. We start to say, oh yeah, this lady, she's a Karen. So yeah, she's probably just annoyed that I'm there. Or we're thinking, oh yeah, this guy's young, he's cool, like yeah man, he's going to love us, right?

Like we make these snap judgments. It's what we do as human beings, right? And I think part of it's built into our survival. But part of it being the natural man in us is something that man or woman, right?

We need to fight. We need to push back against because it can lead us down a path that isn't healthy. And it can lead us to a place where there's not so much joy. And so today I want to ask you a question that I want to ask you now and I want to ask you as this podcast ends.

Is do you choose judgment or do you choose joy? The less we judge others, the less we experience the weight of being judged. Let me say that again. The less we judge others, the less we experience the weight of being judged.

Have you ever had somebody say something to you that you know shouldn't get to you? But for some reason it does. For some reason you can't get it off your mind. The lack of judgment, right?

When we take out judgment, it allows us to let others grow beyond their shortcomings. It allows us to give them grace, right? To give them, you could say, you know, if we're speaking in terms of gardening, right? We're giving them the nutrients to grow and to break through the soil.

And it's the same thing by doing that for others, they give us the same opportunity. And not they give us, we give ourselves the same opportunity. And so the less that we go and judge what others are doing, the less we feel judged by them. It's kind of this, you know, unlock the handcuffs on your buddy, your buddy unlocks the handcuffs on you.

It's really an amazing feeling. So if you ever struggle with the anxiety or the fear of what others think of you, stop making decisions or snap judgments on them. And I'm telling you right now, it is the remedy to being free of the thoughts and the opinions of others. And when you're free of the thoughts and opinions of others, there is literally nothing that will hold you back.

We do so many things in our lives, the cars we buy, the clothes we wear, the house or the neighborhood that we try to live in, the job we accept, the career we choose, right? That sometimes more personal things, the amount of kids we want to have, the person we choose to be our spouse or our partner for life, the way we interact with people, so much of it, so much of it is influenced by what we think others think of us. And when we can get rid of that influence, we can really tap into our authenticity, into our potential. And so when we quit casting judgment on others, it unleashes.

It allows us to maximize our potential. Now I want to give one piece of advice, a little more tactical advice here at the end of this to sum it up. Instead of setting a goal to not judge, right? If we say do not judge, well that's a subconscious negative.

And the subconscious doesn't allow for negatives. It only understands positives. So if you say do not judge, all it here is judge, right? It doesn't understand the lack of judgment.

It only understands judge. And so if you're setting a goal to not judge, instead we want to turn it into a positive for the subconscious to understand, right? And so instead what I've come up with that I like for myself, instead of refrained from judgment, or do not judge, always offer empathy. Always offer empathy.

When we offer up empathy to others, understanding, putting ourselves in their shoes, being kind, and understanding that what they're doing is a natural response of them to their environment. When we do that, there's no room for judgment. When there's no room for judgment, there's only room for joy. So I ask you to end the show today, do you choose judgment, or do you choose joy?

Thank you so much for being here, y'all. I hope you have an amazing day, and we'll talk to you next time on The Daily Strike.
