118 - Why Christians Should Practice Advent

from Christian Formation Hosted by Providence Church

Every year leading up to Christmas, Providence observes Advent, a season where we learn to both reflect on Jesus' coming to Earth and long for His return. In this week's episode, Madi Shultz, a member in our congregation, and Jake Peterson, one of our co-directors for the college ministry here at Providence, join the Christian Formation Podcast to explore what Advent is, why Christians should observe Advent, and practical ideas of how to observe Advent this Christmas season. Providence is recommending that all its church members and attenders purchase the Gospel Coalition's Advent guide, "The Weary World Rejoices." It is a guide that we will use to prepare our hearts this season, together. You can purchase yours on the Gospel Coalition's Website: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/reviews/weary-world-rejoices/ Connect With Us providenceomaha.org | Instagram | Facebook Email Us [email protected]
