Welcome back to the TerraceWatch Radio. Everyone loves an All-Stars edition of the show, so today we've got Alien Workshop All-Stars. If you haven't listened to an All-Stars 4, you basically pick our top 5 favourite skateboarders from a certain skateboard company. And together we have to agree on 5, so we might not start with the same 5, but we have to end with the same 5, make the All-Star 5 team.

The Alien Workshop in this episode, so I'm sure we're going to have a bit of fun. There might be some disputes, there might be a lot of agreement, I don't know, we'll find out. Who wants to start us off? Who wants to start us off?

Do you want to give us the first? I'll give you the number one. This is the first person I put on my list. It's probably a curveball, especially for you.

I know you're a bit more of an old head. Grant Taylor, Mr. Soty himself. Fair play.

Incredible skater. The pure power, speed, the crazy transitions and everything. And his... one of my earlier boards was one of his boards as well.

Nice. Grant Taylor is an all-terrain machine, isn't he? Put him in the pool, put him in the streets, he's going to hit some heavy shit. Looks good in a pair of blazers.

Not me. Pretty much owned the blazer for a long time. Heavy arse kick flip, good frontside flip, good training skills. But unfortunately he's not on my list now.

He's definitely in the honourable mentions for me because he's such an all-round. If you don't respect him, you don't know shit. He can touch anything and you've got footage. Take your tater somewhere and you'll get some footage.

Take fucking weight to Samo to a six-foot bowl. You might not be getting a switch game coming out of there. I don't know. I'm sure he's good enough, but it's not the same caliber as it said at Grant Taylor.

You know how to touch anything. But it's a good pick, John. A really strong pick. Is he on yours well?

He is not. I'm afraid. I'm going to have to fucking convince you later. You want to go next round or do you want me to jump in?

I'll go next. You're rolling. I'll go next. It's hard to know which one I'm going to start with.

I'm going to go somewhere that's a little bit off-peak here. Classic alien, but probably a lot of people don't respect him as much as I do. Best backside flipping again, in my personal opinion. Steve Barer.

Oh, fucking I knew he was going to be on your list. When I was rewatching minefield and I saw his name pop up, I forgot if I wanted to see his own workshop. I was like, well, that's Ryan's. That backside flip at the end, mate.

It's ridiculous. Down the, does he, I think he hits a, what does he hit for the, before the backside flip? It's down the second stair set, but he hits two, like a double combo sort of deal. I think he hits a, it's a fakey flip down one of them and maybe like a fakey half-cab or something like that.

It does have a good fakey flip. Very good fake flip. He's one of those classic textbooks skaters from that era of flip backtail to fakey, no problem. He's got that natural style, not a lot of skaters.

There's a lot of skaters that can hit that shit, but to be able to do it in the way that Barer hits shit, it was just a nice natural flair. It wasn't too much, it was technical without being too technical. It wasn't broken down. It was still flowing.

He doesn't get the spot like he deserves. I'm not saying he's one of the greatest of all type, although he's definitely in my fucking, he's in my top 10, maybe. He's definitely in the top 20, but for alien, he always has a good part. He always puts something interesting down.

That reason Barer is on my list. It sounds like everyone's reaction. I'll take it, he's not on your list. No.

I can appreciate it. He's definitely in the running for TM though. I can maybe take that. You're already talking my language, Jonna.

We might be able to cut some deals here. Okay, yeah. So Will, first question. I got one.

I think it's a good one. Not really in the skate area anymore or is known. But Danny Gassia. He was always one of the top dogs back in the day.

Was Danny Scassia alien? Was he happy to have me? I'm not too sure, but he was. I know he's definitely on happy to have him.

In photosynthesis. Yeah, but that was when they joined. That's the happy to have him. Because I mean, they'd be wrong.

If we were talking joint, Danny Gassia is one of my favourite skates of all time. He is in my top 10, I think. I would be picking him. But I've got a funny feeling.

He's in the happy to have side of the photosynthesis. Yeah, I think you're right. It just says here alien shop writers such as Dada and Danny Gassia for the new brand DNA just go. If he was, can you fact check that shit?

He is on habitat. So he hasn't had any on board. No. Okay.

No. I thought that was a good one then. Well, maybe for the happy to have one. I mean, but happy to have one.

He's definitely in the running. All right. Just shuffling to the back of the pile for now, mate. You want another one?

Yeah. No, throughout your next one. All right. I'm going to be a classic here.

I thought it had been used already. Robbie D. Yeah. Yeah.

He could also get as TM or anyone in this facade right now. Don't know what he's saying. He's on my list. I fucking love Rob Deadec.

Yeah. Popshov King. And the way he, especially in minefield, the way he dressed. Oh, yeah.

Everybody. It was that classic skater look. Yeah. But he pulled it off with the trainers matching the t-shirt colour combo.

But I fucking popshovs for days. Little bit more baggy of steez. Yeah. Come on.

You know, definitely one of the first things I think of when I think of alien is Robbie. Yeah. I couldn't. Look at my own ixian over there.

He's going to tell us how we're wrong. Rob Deadec was number seven on my list. Right? He was on my number seven.

I fucking love his style. I'm a big fan of his. I watched, you know, when the fantasy factory is first out, I watched all of those episodes. I'm a big, you know, DC Rob Deadec Abbaca.

You know what I mean? That's if we're doing a DC shoes, would he make a cut? Don't know. That's a tough, he probably made a cut.

Fuck it out. Yeah. One of the most DC shoes is making the DC shoes all stars. But you've got Chris Cole anyway.

You could destroy him in a second. You know, the amount of skates have actually been on DC. Stevie Williams, Taylor's. Is he beating any of them?

Yeah. He's beating you on this list. There was me. We got two out of three.

But I would say he fits alien more than possibly two other skates. Two other skates on my list. But if we're making all star lists and I've got these skates a pick from, there's one on here that definitely isn't alien, but he's on the fucking list and we probably all know who that is. Right?

Yeah. He was on the team for maybe a short period of time, but he's definitely in there. So I wouldn't be offended and I'd be quite happy if Rob did make the list. You know what I mean?

I can work with that. But he just, he just, for Caliber, he didn't make it for me. That's the only reason why he didn't make it. Everyone else on my list is a, I'm putting Steve Barron there.

I think Barron does. He does just quite, just by a touch, outshines Rob D. All right. I'll go with a more obvious one that I think, he should be on all of our lists.

It's Josh Calus. If he's not on your list, you're wrong. Yeah. Yeah.

Calus without a doubt, he is, he's a king, right? He's one of the greatest. He's one of those people that can somehow fit on alien, even though he shouldn't fit on alien. That shows you how he is a perfect fit for that team.

You don't know why he works for the team, but he just, yeah, first name on the list. Yeah. Definitely a true, another person who just popped straight into my head when I think of alien, even now. Yeah.

He's such a good, like, brand ambassador as well. I remember watching one of the epically-lateds where Stevie Williams is talking about when he gets on DJK and Stevie's saying to the other kids, they're on the team. It's like, just, if you're ever unsure if you're doing the right thing for the brand, just look at Josh because he, he sounds a brand. No one else wears a brand as much as Kaita Stutz.

Yeah. Like, he's a living billboard. Oh, yeah. And you want all his shit?

Why wouldn't you want an alien board with DC shoes back in 2005? Yep. His name just worked with that shit, didn't it? You know, when you saw, I mean, that's kind of the reason why I want bear on there because the bear and that alien gimmick with the line across the centre of the board with their name on it, that is the same kind of feeling for me.

You know, it just kind of almost just seems the same for Rob Durdick as well. The same deal, his name fits on that board. And that's why I'll be honest and say, if he goes on, deservedly so. Because he definitely is alien more than most people.

Yeah. And then what, and the more we kind of play around with this, the more I kind of might need to readjust, you know what I mean? It's a hard one. The team is...

Maybe moves from people that shouldn't... So many people. If we're building something that is really alien, do you know what I mean? I might have to move some things around.

It's one of those ones, wherever I think of an alien deck, I see, you know, the classic old school alien board where they get beamed up and then Rob Durdick right next to it. That's what I initially see. Mm-hmm. Go on then, Ryan.

Who's next on the list then? Well, should I throw out the controversial one? And then you can either pat it down early or see if you're saying with it. Yes, my next one is Mr.

Arto Sarri. Ooh. Yeah, mate. Because, right, hold on a second, go ahead.

I went interrupting you when you were... Sorry, no, I'm not going to. So I'm just saying, he's a skaterly year. He's one of the greatest of all time.

He is ridiculous. If you've got to be able to pick him. I know he doesn't fit, right? And he was right, he had a flip board in mind field.

But he's Arto Sarri. Yeah, I'm... Yeah, I'm sorry, he's amazing. And I'm not denying that.

But the fact that he was using a flip board for mind field. Yeah, all right. But I think he even said in the flip all stars that you may as well count is mind field part. It's like, oh, you're doing an awesome video.

Yeah, let me just be on that for two minutes. I'll jump back. Yeah, I might have said that. Yeah.

What are you saying, Will, then? What are you saying to that? I can definitely remember Arto skating, I think, alien, but it's not really something that, like, registered straight away. But I'm not going to knock it.

I was a great skater. I knew it was a controversial one. I wrote it down. I was like, well, the voice probably answered the degree of it.

But yeah, he is not on my list and afraid. Yeah, not mine. Well, this is going strong. Okay, so is it Will, you up next mate?

You're next pick? I'm just trying to figure out which one to throw now. It's kind of hard, really. There's a lot of good names.

It is. It's a tough way to go. There's so much subjectiveness to it as well. Well, throw out a stand if you want, mate, just to get one go and you think maybe we're all going to have just to get someone lined up.

All right, I'll go. It's more of an old school one. Neil Blender. Wow.

Pretty alien, right? That is a good pick, mate. More in the classic, like if you're back in the day, skate, skate, skateboard, and no bullshit involved, couple reps on your jeans, couple odd laces on your shoes, couple nuts on your shoe laces, maybe even a chip out your board. Big kick flips, big shove-its, big 180s, long grinds, a little bit of everything.

Classic, old school, loads of different boards through the years. A lot of people, probably before our generation would have probably picked Neil Blender and a few other people bit quicker. I was trying to think it's a bit more character, but good great skater. Mate, he isn't on my list, right?

But when you watch his footage, it's exactly what you're saying. It's almost like the prototype of that old school skater. If you can just do a nice solid long grind, you know what I mean? Yeah, people are going to love it.

It doesn't matter what the grind is. As long as you just hit it clean and just have a decent speed and just make sure it's good. He is that skater. It's like saying flips, shoves, boosted 180s, you know, like, he's almost like a Jamie Thomas character as well.

They've got that just so well rounded that they just hit everything. They're not super tech. They're not Chris Coleman. They're not doing anything like that.

But they're doing the thing that probably got you into Satan, what made you and the vibe and the feel of all their tricks and what you want. That's a great pick where you know, and that could easily, you know what I mean? I would hold hands up and I would bump our toe out for Neil Blender. Yeah, it would have had when I...

Because it's real. And it is alien. I put him on my first top five and then I ended up removing him. He was still on the list, but it's up.

Aliens, like, really, people now probably don't really know anything about alien except for minefield and like, no one. And even then minefield wasn't like new with the Kran scheme right now. Yeah, that is a good pick mate. John, I'll take you to not on your list.

No, I'll be honest, I had to look him up. That's not a name that I recognised. Right. And I'm normally pretty good with it.

But, looking him up, he was one of the founders of Alien Workshop. Yeah. Yeah, legit OG. You know what I mean?

Yeah. But I think we'll go to Jamie Thomas, him. What does that mean, TM? Where does there we go?

No, he's got a fate worse than Jamie Thomas. No. I can appreciate him. Yeah, it's a really educated pick.

That's probably, you know what I mean? That's probably the truest pick going so far, I'd say. John, open. You what?

Yeah, so I guess I've got one or two. We'll go with a slightly more new school. Yeah, slightly more new school. And I'd like to think he's on your goes.

Dylan Reeder. Ah, the driver's killing me. Oh, no. Is he not on yours?

We always throw him in the bus here, Will. It's like we're both waiting for everyone to talk. Yeah, he's not on my list. He was just outside.

Sure. Just outside. I'll elaborate, but I'll let Will kind of say if he's on or off. Kind of originally in the first top five of like forts of riders.

Dylan Reed, great skater. He could probably make it on this list and I wouldn't be annoyed at all. Um, yeah, I'm just not the biggest fan of him, I guess. I'm a big fan of his impossible.

Yeah. But I feel I feel like it's hard to say about sound like a cunt really. But obviously when people do die, their legacy only blows up, which it should because people need to be remembered. And I feel like, yeah, there's too many Dylan readers out this day and age that isn't Dylan Reed, and it just kind of gave it a bad taste in my mouth.

Like, I want to remember, I wanted to remember Dylan Reed, but not everyone else wanted to be Dylan Reed. Well, I totally agree with you. Like that is. I think that's what ruined it for me.

Johnny, you must have heard me say this shit before, you know, even like with Heath Ledger. You know, don't be wrong. Heath Ledger was a great actor and everything. But don't come up to people and say that he's the greatest actor in his own favorite.

Just because that's the conversation you're having. It's not me. Just because his name pops up. Oh, yeah, he's my favorite.

But one second. Is he your favorite or you just saying it now because he is? And that's the same vibe I got with the leader leader is that after he died, he's the favorite scary. You know the people that did think he was the favorite.

He said, where the fucking shit he'd wear? You know, the vest and shit, right? I get it. But if that wasn't you, and I was just jumping on the bandwagon and saying, oh, yeah, yeah, I fucking love him.

It's like, you didn't, you didn't love him. You know, you didn't love him because you're aware of fucking big DC's, some baggage. You know, so, you know what I mean? You're influenced somewhere else.

Just like mine. Just like mine. I fucking love his trick selection. I think his trick selection was awesome.

But when you wear a vest and tuck it in and you know, that sort of deal, it doesn't do it for me. I think it's a bit lame. It's a bit fucking, it's a bit look at me. It's a bit kind of like wannabe fashionista, even though it's like the skateboarders do it now, like where, like, at Raige's trousers, just the fucking wearer.

I'm not talking about like baggy. I'm just talking about just laying bullshit. He was always the start of that. I'm not going to, you know, I'm not going to eat because he didn't go crazy.

He wore some, but he was fashionista before most people were. And that wasn't my, that wasn't my deal. I like Jeff fucking Rowley. It's what I mean.

Just wearing every wall and just shredding. I wanted to see someone hit the fucking deck and get back up. You know, that was my, they were my guys and Dylan just didn't, didn't hit it for me. I didn't expect him, but didn't.

That's right. Yeah, and I don't want to sound like I'm just bashing him either because I can't even now think of someone who has a better and possible than him. Really? Really?

There's probably a few who are like the style more, but better. It's probably Dylan. And he's probably just as well known as he is because he's a good looking skater as well. And a lot of people want to be that good looking skater guy who could be that guy and that.

He's not looking lad, Mill. He has a good looking lad, but don't get me wrong. There's some better looking people than him. You know, you know what I mean?

Yeah. I just wanted to be in like, for example, I mean, we'll go back to fucking Arto. He's like a six foot fucking three Viking. And he is a better looking.

He is more of a man more chiseled than everything than Dylan Reed. But he didn't go down the fucking road of wanting to be wearing the vote in the Vogue shit. You know what I mean? So it's, I don't, people just jump on that bandwagon because that's what he's doing.

So they kind of go down there and they want to wear. We all know, we all know one person, I'm not going to name him, but we know one person that we may or may not work with. And you would have known from a certain skate shop that kind of tried to emulate them. And I mean, where do you see them?

And, you know, fair enough. Fair enough. You know, that was their gimmick. They kind of, they did like that style of they might have done any possible that might have been their scene.

So you can kind of respect someone's, even if you don't particularly like someone or get almost someone that well, you can respect where they're coming from, at least. And Dylan just wasn't that person for me. He just didn't, obviously for you, John, you know what I mean? Surely you loved him as a skateboard.

I think he's brilliant, but as like going on to you, he wasn't your vessel for fuel. No, no, no. I don't know why you put the outfit out there, but I'm just, you know, yeah, I think the reason that he is on this list, though, is, yeah, he's not your Chris Cole, whatever. But like he's he's been muddied, hasn't he?

Yeah, right. It's all been messed around. But I think at the time when he was still around and skating and kickflip in that he was a curveball enough that I could appreciate what he was doing and the trick selection and the execution. The style yet is a bit out there, but I think it was a refreshing enough tape on it all that.

Yeah, he was the first one to do it and now it's been blown out of proportion and his name is fun, but I think, and he's as late as alien had any right and being relevant. I don't even think he made the jump to like FA and that it was as that was starting that he at least got ill and couldn't skate. Yeah, I think he may have worn some of their shit, you know what I mean, like when they were playing around with the brand, you might have worn some of the shit, but obviously before they're bored, so before they're mass produced boards, he might have been in that kind of scene. He was that supreme scene to begin with, wasn't he?

Yeah, and I don't want to ship them for his authenticity. I think he was authentic as they come. I just, what I'm saying is when people are trying to be new fucking to school to fucking call for school. Right.

It does put me off. It is a massive disconnect when someone wants to be it's even like a chardware at the moment. I just think he's a little bit too fucking like look at me rather than just wearing your fucking jeans and hoodie and just going for it. And as soon as someone starts trying to look cool, like actually actively do it, it's a massive disconnect.

That's why I love someone like Stevie Williams for that reason, that he's always been the fucking same skater he always has been. You know what I mean, he's always been his gimmick and things move around him and he might fluctuate, but he is still the authentic same thing. He doesn't have to kind of go with something. Yeah.

And there's a lot of skaters that do just have to go with something because they can't quite a chardware should be known for wearing his fucking cut off jeans shorts, right? Yeah. You know, you should have kept that gimmick strong and be known for it and always have all the footage in it. Well, all the photos get too much, but it just seems like he's getting wrapped up in a polar fucking, you know, that fucking patterned trouser that apparently you got to wear these days.

I'm not not going to everyone for wearing it, but some people you can tell when they're fucking a bit try hard and when people are doing it for, you know, just provide. Because I'm not saying the same thing about Tashawn, you know, I don't think he is doing it for look at me personally. I think he's on the streets. He's saying something really nice and different and he wants to wear it.

There's different places, but yeah, you're not saying. Yeah, it's weird, isn't it? I think there are certain skaters when certain doors open to them with fashion deals and whatever. They probably should go through just because you can.

I mean, and I bet in the moment it's like, oh, fuck. Yeah. This company wants to be on like a little skate rack that's come from fucking nowhere. And now this big time company wants me to do that.

Yeah, great. Actually, no, you are that skate rack. Keep me in. That's why you've got to where you are now.

That's why you've seen. You've now seen a drop off in your whatever, because. Well, and also because if you do jump to, let's just say you jump from fans to Adidas, right, for example, you're going to, you have kind of slightly removed yourself from the skateboard industry with you like it or not, just slightly, you know, because vans, although they're a huge company, you know, the F group, own fucking everything now, but they are still more in tune in the skate scene with you like it or not. Not that.

That's not. But they are. So you're almost removing yourself from it a little bit more to them for all the other skate rats, you're less kind of attainable lesson in inspiration. You know, I'm kind of talking, but in the case on that way, like Kada, I do think that was a bit for him.

Yes. You know, some of this is a rule of thumb, but that kind of does happen. I mean, I mean, I'm fucking multi-billion company can only focus on a piece of plank of wood and some wheels so much in the grand scheme of things. What is bringing in the revenue is, you know, yeah, yeah, biggest sport in the world or a bunch of dudes in the streets.

Don't even get offended when you call it sport. Yeah. It's almost like the Alex Olsen thing, for me, it was kind of a similar thing. Like, well, a lot of us saw him in go in the LeCai videos and stuff like that.

Saw him swearing and bailing and beating the crap out of himself and really having this being shown this post-owner of Alex Olsen as an introduction almost. It's been like this guy's crazy, he's all over the place, wearing anything, really cool kind of, seeming cool kind of character, then a little bit down the line. He's not on go. He's not on this.

Fair enough, he's got his own thing. That's really cool. But it's like, big core brand to not big core brand to walking down a catwalk with some fucking ruffles around your neck. It's like, fuck, we're all skateboarders.

We're all going to do what we want to do. But when it's like, you know, look at me in one, in one, uh, change your clothes and look at me in another. It's too confusing. I don't want to look at, I don't want to look at that other one.

And, uh, it changes your opinion on people and it kind of ruins images you have of things and how it plays out in your head, like things just change. And, yeah, sometimes you don't want to see certain things and regardless of how that person likes it or not. 100% will. You've hit it down on the head.

It's like, it's such a disconnect. Like, it's such a removal from what you were kind of into. You don't actually want to see it. You know, unless you're a wedding mate, you want to sell something, you know, you'd be a fancy motherfucker and maybe put something on.

You know, you could pull it. You could pull it piece of this. It wouldn't be a problem. It wouldn't be an issue.

You'd probably be able to wear a suit and a baseball cap at the same time. It's still never, never, never, Kayla says or something like that. Yeah, exactly. You'd be able to figure it.

I'm not saying you couldn't figure it. But if you just start a gimmick in that skate park, you'd be like, well, in a second, well, you can go fuck yourself. Like that isn't you. That isn't you.

That is, that is, all you're doing now is trying to be seen, rather than do the thing that we know you for, which is a fucking sweet arsebero heel or something. You know what I mean? It's in some, in some baggage jeans. You've kind of, you've, you've distorted the image.

Kind of like how Andrew Reynolds did for a little bit where he started wearing the fucking super skinny shirt. I know a lot of his, some of his best stuff is, was done in skinny jeans, right? But how much better would it have looked if he had done those front stuff flips down the big stairs and the fucking, in the, the jeans that he's wearing in the birdhouse at the end? You know what I mean?

They looked ten times better than his skinny jeans, didn't they? And what is he wearing now? Exactly. Exactly.

Fucking new balances. Yeah. What a fucking, on a certain event. We interrupt this vlog, asking for a jumping ship.

What are we saying to that? What are we saying to it? What is he done there? I, I, I, I apparently has done it because they generally care a bit more about a technical shoe and all that sort of thing.

And he wants to keep skating with some good feet. Yeah. All right. True.

Like if you, if you like, I like new balances, I'm not wearing them or anything, but I like them. If you just like squint your eyes when he's skating and it's a little bit better. It's, it's, people that fucking, sorry, people that fucking end off and stick a DC logo on it. Yeah, I get it.

Because that's what they're trying to do. They're trying to be a new era slim down fucking DC. Really. That's the cadence lights.

Right? That's basically what you've got. Yeah. That costs twice as much.

But I just, he's Andrew fucking Reynolds. If he wants a technical shoe, he could do it. So like America is bait was basically his, right? Why not?

And they've got like five people on the team now. So I mean, how much does it really cost for him to? Yeah, maybe they just ain't paying them enough. I don't know.

I don't know. There's probably some background shit that isn't being, being told to everyone. Of course. Yeah.

There's obviously harmony isn't quite right. You know, I mean, there's obviously something that isn't quite right with America probably initially. But let's just get that straight. Maybe that was just the money to van.

So maybe that was just how it is. And then when he gets into vans and he kind of sees how they probably aren't in touch with the skaters or probably aren't. Well, they're not touching base with skaters. And then probably thought he was just on the, he wanted to be a part of the team.

And he was just on it. But that's what happens when you take the money, right? Yeah. And I think with, with New Balance, like, you know, he probably won a little bit of a cup cell.

And bands aren't really in the business of making great cup cells at the moment. I mean, they never really have. They had, they did do when, you know, in 99 or whatever. You know, I mean, they did have some really good fucking, you know, air bubble would fucking choose cups up.

So they did, they did make some fucking sweet, sweet fucking shoes. But at the moment, the gimmick is, you know, the era, the classic fucking van shoe, you know, the half cab, which, which I've skated the half cab. I fucking hated it. I hated it.

I thought it was one of the worst shoes I've ever owned. And it lasted forever, right? I fucking hated skating them. They sucked balls.

My half cab's lasted me two minutes. I instantly went through them, fuckers. All right. I've had some half cab's before.

I think my tongue just turned into like a sponge, like it just tear out into the sponge material in like the air couple days. Yeah, they're just too high. They just, they restrict you way too much. You know, I mean, like, I wouldn't mind trying to skate those, um, the blazers, the higher blazers, just to give them a go.

Yeah. But even that kind of for me, I just know what it's going to do to your heel flip. It's just going to get in the way a little bit. You know, it might protect your ankle a little bit more, but it's going to, I'm sure it's going to just restrict your ankle, your angle, you can put your ankle out, just for the.

No. The Ollies and the Hillflips just destroy the uppers on high top stuff. I mean, yeah, what we said, we said, it's a bad fit. I mean, the advert that you, the shot with wearing the new shoe that kick over is like a fucking ticket machine or whatever.

I mean, like a car parking. Yeah. That was a decent boost to kick. Yeah, it was a nice, nice little work.

It sounds really rental, though. Like he wouldn't put bad at all. He can't do anything bad. Yeah.

I think his name, name transcends a bit more. Obviously, he has to be on a Baker board now, but like at the same time, if you saw him with a, I don't know, a fucking anti-hero board, you'll just be like, all right, whatever. It sounds you're going to. You may have just sitting there on the head there, Johnny.

That he's bigger than all of it now. Legend that we kind of, it doesn't really matter, you know, because if you jump from America, then, yeah, once you've left America there, all bets are off, right? Anyway, all stars. Yeah, all stars.

Yeah. Where were you? If Rita isn't on, I would say still though, like a good mention, probably a lot of new investigators would have people like Dylan on the team, which is because a lot of the things were older. All right.

I'm going to say it now before someone else says it unless he's not on the team, and I'm running, he's on Habitat again. Jason Dill. Fucking, yeah. Dill was on my list.

Not saying I love him, but he is a fucking alien motherfucker. Yeah, he's not on my list. He is alien. He is alien.

But again, he's wearing a fucking, talking about disconnects, wearing fucking weird black jeans shorts with long socks. I love that shit. And a vest. I would have liked him to stay in that same outfit from skate for the rest of his life, and I'd be okay with that.

But anything else. Yeah, he's on my honorable mentions, but he isn't on the list. He's on the extended list, but he didn't make the cut for the fight. I think these days, to me, Jason Dill, he's a bit of a, you know, he's a leprechaun.

He's not someone you get to see all the time. He's not normal. He does some weird shit. Fair enough.

I liked the old Jason Dill, who was ripping it and shredding. Fuck, he still rips now. He can still do some fucking backfrees and curb slashes and all that shit. But why is the same when I was young?

He kind of just looks like a rat. He's just a skate rat. And as soon as he changed from that, I didn't know what he was. So he just keep keeping himself alive, I guess, and trying to be as relevant as possible, kind of like guns and a few other people.

But the old Jason Dill was pretty sick. That's how I will remember him. He's on my list. I fucking love him.

And just what he's done as well. Granted, he's also pushed out the very like, poserie, new school poser. But there's, I think, workshop as a whole has this weird like, late 90s, early 90s phase, then you've got mine filled in that in the late 90s. And there's a little pocket right at the end where it's probably 2011, 2012, where you got Dill, Dylan, Rita, Abe, and a couple of others that workshop was dying, but they were still wrapping it and they were smashing it out.

I watched one another video where it was when they had their own little park with, I think it was Beebool Park. Them in there, that couple of year period is just so skate wrap, just with skating and at such a high level and so stylish as well. So every fucker wanted to be on everyone wanted to be them. And it's the same alien died, but that's why we've now got FA.

Yeah. It's because that little pocket is like, well, we'll just keep doing that. And that's why we've got that. And that's why they're still relevant.

Yeah, I mean, alien turned to being the 45 gridboards, you know, it wasn't the high caliber board anymore after that period, you know, and we all know that when it happens, it takes a long time to get back to where you need to be, the same with blind blind went down to 35 grid for, you know, 40 quid for a board. And it did die down. Now it's getting back up, you know, now they've got the, you know, TJ Rogers and people fucking killing it. You're like, I don't have Cody McIntyre.

Yeah, but I don't have you still on him, but he was still on him. But he kept them through, you know, and you got respect him for it. You know, he didn't have a good time in blind. You know, it wasn't the greatest era, but everyone can respect him.

And I mean, it's a good argument that just because, you know, it gets to a certain point and they're kind of, you know, they tried their absolute best to keep that brand alive. But when big corporations come in and swallow up, we're going to do, well, you start, start your own company. Yeah. No, it's a great thing.

It's and I'm sure we probably will make the cut. Good. Okay. Well, I'm going for Heath Kirchup.

Yeah. Nice. I just think he's one of those skates. Obviously I was first introduced to him in bird house, the end with the part with Jeremy Klein, you know, killing it.

You know, front-lipping down fucking video, down El Toro or something like that in that video. He's ridiculous. He's one of those skates. He's one of those skates.

Big boy shit. You know, I mean, absolutely. Big boy shit. You know, there's no fucking about with him.

So he, and he does, although he's one of those entities that I think transcendible company as well, he is one of those that you can kind of put them anywhere and it doesn't really matter. He is definitely alien for me. Well, you know, a bird house, but he is alien. So.

My silence, he's. Well, he didn't make mine. I was very close to swapping Dil for Kirchup. But when I before I did any research and just picks names, he wasn't on there because he is just this entity.

He is just a secure chart. Right. Like even with America, I think he almost transcends America. I even did for say gold he had the hidden part that you're at to go to the deleted scenes and go down and then press I just think stylish great trick selection just power good push knows how to kick flip but yeah he's but he could make it on I mean we've only got three spots yeah I'm saying to mr.

He's not on my team Unfortunately just look past him the team's so big in this it's kind of hard for me to figure out who I really wanted to put in my top Five but he probably should have been on my top five great skater rail chomper like he's always doing back nose blunts like front lip I just uh searched the check he did the front lip on our Toro middle rail transwell cover back in the day really sick Um, but yeah like always hitting the rails like if there was an ad or a picture of him out He was always doing like a back nose blurt or a fucking crook or something down a decent rail like how you wanted to see stuff back in the day Just always around always doing heavy hitting stuff Good skate you wanted to see do it so Um, great. Yeah, good choice. Definitely uh, definitely. It's a possibility.

Right. It's a possibility. Yeah Uh, jonah, you're on next to us at will we're next? All mine of them have you done all yours?

Well, I do have one more Um, it's kind of another one of those back in the day a lot more popular at neban england. Oh, yeah He is on my list too. Another heavy hair scale. Yeah And when you Just dropping into dc but in the dc video right his part in that fucking video Is insane switch trays, you know, like the fucking switch nose grinds the crooks the crook fucking reverts Oh that part mate that part You remember when he's when he's smashing a border, you know, yeah Such you know, that's one of one of those sections that's like put that put that on before you go out That is definitely one of like you can say about any any part, but like that is one of those ones that is pure street You know, yeah, definitely just look in the park Yep, uh just so many Great images back in the day so many clips Can really go too far back in a fresh day and not not have a anti-ban england mentioned Great like dc video part was sick.

But yeah, just always always relevant in that era at that time always always relevant Yeah, he's a skater. I think he's just one of those skaters that you can he's got he's got like specialist tech That not many people do you know, like we're talking about in the dc video the The nose run be a river or the quick reverb round that like straight angle and around you know, I mean like that is super tech But no one's seeing it's tech unless you do it and you go fuck me because you don't see it You know, it is one of those things Um, but he's also to do pretty much everything else you need to do You know, if you can switch if you can just switch trade the way he can you're pretty much in that That place that you can just shred anything if you've worked out the switch tray on flat in a line and not worry about it You know, you know, you probably fine enough. Yeah, I remember Jamie Thomas hitting like switch trays at the end of a Get some sort of managed trick I think in Barcelona And he just boosts that switch straight at the end of it And it's like it's only the top tier skater that can and always hit the switch straight at the end of a line You know, I mean, they because they know it's guaranteed It's not like back. It's like now where you're allowed to kind of throw a fucking switch trail and not land it and people like it Because fucking strobeck filmed it back in the day back in there you actually had the land that ship bolts for the whole thing to fucking count Yeah So to throw the switch straight and land it he could have fucking absolutely screwed the rest of his line that he just did with an spsps You know switch crook and a fucking he would ruin everything Because he didn't give the time between the last trick and the the tray You know, he didn't give the air because he was dambling on that that switch straight So I'm just one saying is I'm just sticking him at a very very high calorie skater I'm putting him right near the fucking top.

I mean he got So he at a kind of older age. Yeah, I didn't even remember that 30 odd or something, you know 30s which obviously isn't old but for for skateboarding it's fucking more and harder. Yeah, yeah Because I mean like everyone else is getting it at 20 and 23 and stuff like that Like tai shalons got it twice before he's even What I don't even know how old he is now 24 I know you've probably got a wife of kids Company responsibilities all this sort of shit. It's body.

You know, it's body. You won't want to do it every day You might not just he's done it so many times that you might you not even want to do it as much as you know It's just one of those things that I like to skate. I like to skate two days a week I don't want to skate every day. So probably one of those guys that doesn't need to Yeah, just there diode in in his mind but also being like a slightly older dude having probably ruined himself by not looking after himself properly in the 90s, noughties and stuff whereas now people know how to like look after themselves and recover You jumping down big stairs.

You need that ice bath He would fucking watch my couple on get wasted and then to get the next day Like because that's just what he did. Did you say it was on your list Johnny? He wasn't oh Hold on. I say he wasn't.

Oh no, he wasn't Again like kurturer dill and ave were very Interchangeable but picked out for the shorts and long socks. We got his definite sense Did it kalis dill and ave And to be fair naturally we've already built we built alien there. So we're in a good spot We'll take you know as just things come to it. We'll take this already.

We'll take the outcome of where we are You know, no if you're offended by that being an all-stars alien. You don't know you don't know alien because that is We can't fuck up too bad. Can we? No, I mean the fact that we're all on alien at the same time I think it's saying a lot So we need a fifth.

So what else has been put out there? So I put bearer kurturer Yeah, yeah very kurturer and we'll put Neil blender. Yeah, anyone else in there? Will you put?

No, I think everyone else has been picked and then I did gantella and delirida. Yeah, and then you did it ato Yeah, so I'll be ends up and I'll take it arto can go right because it's just it's not fair that he fits this bill I think as you know, I take that on the chin. He's not he's not alien. I know we had a great part in mind field Which is arguably the best video, you know arguably not so it is but it's up there But yeah, let's remove our to from the situation so we can eliminate him.

I would quite happily drop Neil Ford Yeah, I'm more inclined to put he fun than the others Yeah If a demo is coming to town and you see it a list of five names and it's the other Kayla still a kurturer You know, it would be one honey. Yeah, I suppose if you saw bearer Yeah, you're hoping for a backside flip but they likely could have actually seen him on a skateboard is slim to none, right? You want to talk to bearer you don't want to see him? Yeah, I see it.

Yeah, I see the angle you're afraid Ask him to do the backside flip and his weird tray flip because he's got what he got there like a Vert tray. I like you want to ask him some weird Scientology questions just to see what he says That would be a great way and he would be bringing out the quick me answers. I'm sure yeah Yeah, well, it was that we're gonna cut them because I think that's that's a good deal He's got in there as number five To strengthen the team rather than to kind of Either authenticate the team which Neil blender could definitely do or to kind of mainstream the team a little bit and put bearer in there I think he's he's that heavy. He's a killer, right?

You need the hammers in there. Yeah, exactly and to be fair Out of all of them. He is the hammer. Yeah, so I think yeah, I think I can I can take that deal who I've just done the mega ramp out of the rest of them Yeah, right.

So we we we're happy Take that alien workshop all stars top five of rob durdick josh kliss jason dill antivan england and keith kurtjard. Yep. Yeah, that's Is there a get in a team manager slot? Yeah, we always give someone a TMS.

Yeah, we'll allow it. Yeah, okay, right fine. Well, there you go then That's declared that is etched in table sports radio history. That's never gonna be Changed that's there nice Does anyone have any honorable mentions that they want to stick out there?

Is that was there any that you kind of thought about or we Because I'm pretty happy there was yeah, I mentioned everyone I thought of really yeah, I'm happy with the names mentioned Nice. Well, you heard it first. That was ailing workshop all stars All sorry, I'm sure we're gonna do another all stars soon. You know, I mean we like a little stars there a good one And uh, I don't know why let's know who you want us who you want the next team to be Yeah, you want to figure out you want to send it in and we'll do a poll We're doing a poll and see see you see let's just know Yeah, who they want to do for the next one Let's not expect anyone out of this team and miss any big names.

Yeah, well Danny way was one of them, wouldn't he? Danny way was one, but he just isn't synonymous with with it. Yeah, well there you go Thank you very much for listening. Hope you've enjoyed it We want to join it by lovely little time here talking about any workshop and we'll see you for another episode of Radio
