119 - Jank Setup [Jazz Infused Soul/Funk]

Jank Setup is a diverse group of artists who converged to form an innovative high-energy 8 piece band. Each member comes from a differing musical and cultural background, and adds a different flavor to the music. 
Formed in New Orleans in 2017, they are greatly inspired by classic and modern Soul, Funk, Jazz, Afro, and Hip Hop artists including James Brown, Parliament, and Fela Kuti, and more recently, Anderson Paak, Vulfpeck, and Tom Misch. 

The dynamic and high-spirited performance style of the band is cultivating a growing and equally enthusiastic fan base, and the band brings over 500 people regularly to local venues including Gasa Gasa, The Hi-Ho Lounge, and The Howlin' Wolf. Featured Song Name: In Motion
