119: Jon has an Iron Butt

from Loud Pipes! · host RDub Studios, LLC.

Tonight Rich and Rico get the latest news from Jon on his past weekend trip with the Moto Amino Dragon Krew.  Jon took a little adventure and rode down to Key West, Florida.  On the ride down the plan was to complete the saddle sore 1000 Iron Butt Challenge.  This challenge is to complete 1000 miles in 24 hours or less.  There was a small delay in getting out of North Carolina as DaRula's chain broke while running about 70 mph on I-85 just south of Charlotte, NC. To answer the question - yes everyone doing the saddle sore did complete it, in fact they did 1119 miles in 22 1/4 hours! After arriving at the hotel at 1:30 AM - back on the road by 9:30 AM to finish the ride to Key West, FL.  Did a little sightseeing and then headed back north and planning to stay at OIFVET22's house south west of Jacksonville, FL.  Before getting back to the mainland of Florida, Jon followed a recommendation from brother Zyon to stop for dinner at Hobo Cafe in Key Largo, FL.  Highly recommend the place if you are in the area. The Dragon Krew didn't arrive until 5 AM.  After a little sleep and home cooked meal they were back on the road around 12:30 pm and Irish's brother-in-law escorted the Krew out of state.  Jon arrives home around 11:30 pm, but there was a small adventure with an NC state trooper.  Moto Amino Members on Ride:IrishmanJonKP MotoRatYamiR6Jaburbee95CruxJac-FZ09DaRula (Broke Down in Charlotte)PDMoto MommaOIFVET22Irish Brother-In-Law EVENTS2nd Annual Congregation Show - April 14 2-8pm2nd Annual East Coast Meetup - June 9th, 2018 - Captial Powersports, Wake Forest, NC.3rd Annual Motorcycle Podcasters Challenge June 21st 2018 - July 11th 20181st Annual Loud Pipes Meetup - July 13-1414th Annual Barber Vintage Fest. - October 5th - 7th 2018 (Jon is going Roger plans to ride out from Oregon .Support the show and receive rewards for your contribution by visiting loudpipes.net/donate.  Patreon is our focus and is an ongoing support model.  There is also a link for one-time donations and support of any size is greatly appreciatedRunning time: 1 hour 09 minutesQuestions or comments: [email protected] or the Feedback page

Loud & Clear: EMS Guiding Principles - Advanced Continuing Education for Paramedics, EMTs & Prehospital Care Providers Ross Orpet, Paramedic turned EMS Physician Paramedic training is over, you’re in the front seat now. Whether day 1 or day 1,000 you can’t shake the fear you’re underprepared. You were taught to systematically decide if A... do B. But what if “A” wasn’t in the book? The truth is each emergency call is too unique to teach the right response to every situation. We need to go beyond algorithmic thinking and understand deeper principles, the WHY behind the algorithm. When every decision counts you want to rely on a framework that will guide you when things don’t make sense. Loud & Clear: EMS Guiding Principles is your resource to build that framework. Through discussions with experts, review of evidence-based best practices, and real-world case studies we teach you one step past what you learned in paramedic school. But all of this advanced education is connected back to the guiding principles that answer the question- “at the end of the day, what actually matters to the patient I have in front of me?” Our mission is to elevate your Explicit NonSense Podcast FNBob The Nonsense Podcast: Where Chaos Meets ComedyStep into the whirlwind of hilarity, hot takes, and unfiltered conversations.
