11th Feb 24 - Genesis 3:1-24 - Charles Kimbangi - Rebellious (but Redeemed?)

Sunday morning was full of praise, prayer, fellowship and to listen to God's Word. I’ve really been enjoying our current teaching series ‘Who am I?’ The series has helped us to explore fundamental questions about human identity and human purpose. Last Sunday I spoke from Genesis 3 about human rebellion and the redemption that only comes through faith in Jesus. The key verse is Genesis 3:15 – And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.’ In the curse on the crafty serpent, we get a glimpse of the gospel. God promises that there will be a redeemer. A person will come from the offspring of the woman, and this person will triumph by crushing the head of the serpent (satan) but will be hurt in the process (a strike on the heel).
