The incarnation of Christ means our future is secure and peace in the present is ours. All three readings speak encouragement about not having to fear the future. Psalm 112 speaks of secure hearts because of the Lord and trust we have in Him. 1 Thessalonians 3 speaks about being blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus – and in the meantime, we are called increase and abound in love.
