12/10/25 : Consumer Retorts (Time 4 Grade 2 Make Good)

from The Gerard Cosloy Radio Hour (That Feels Like Two Hours) · host Gerard Cosloy

it’s been several years since I asked you, dear listeners, to join me in mourning for my dearly departed Amaré Stoudemire Skullkandy headphones. To recap, said cans sounded like SHIT, however they were glorious to look it. Sadly, they were also about as durable as their namesake. And with that, I pivoted to Grado Labs’ open back headphones (looked like shit, sounded glorious). In the space of less than 4 years, I’ve had no fewer than 2 pairs of new Grado phones fall-the-fuck-apart and it’snot like like I’m stretching them with an especially huge head or anything. Before I purchase my third pair, I would like to ask the company’s proprietor, Scottish wrestling legend (I’m being charitable) GRADO for some measure of accountability. Or failing that, a professional discount. I’m not made of money. Were I made of money, it would certainly explain how many times I’ve been chased down the street (it wouldn’t excuse it, but at the very least it would explain it).
