12.10: To Follow Jesus You Must Give Up Your Own Way and Take Up Your Cross Daily

What does it mean to follow Jesus? What is the cost of following Jesus?  Following Jesus is more than just attending a church every Sunday and  calling yourself a Christian. In fact, the title “Christian”  was given to the disciples of Jesus Christ in Acts (which we’ll study  after Christmas). Are you a disciple of Jesus? I don’t mean do you  attend the church that calls themselves “Disciples of Christ”! They  preach a watered-down gospel. Are you a true disciple of Jesus Christ?  If you’re not sure, then you’re in the right spot, because Luke tells us  exactly what that means in this next chapter… Keep reading in my blog where you can dig deeper.... If you want to reap all the benefits of salvation including the 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven then… Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.  Pray this prayer humbly and wholeheartedly… “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and my life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I surrender my whole life to you and I will follow you for the rest of my life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.” Jesus is coming back soon! Are you ready?
