A mentor is someone with more knowledge and experience than you, who can not only show you how they got to where they are but also to show you what pitfalls to avoid. Mentors should be good listeners, give freely of themselves, teach about the mistakes they make, keep you accountable and listen, listen, listen. DO NOT find a mentor who dictates to you how things must be done.
