12-15-21: The greatness of John Wooden

I would love to hear from you, just send me text and let me know what you think of the podcast.Today I talk a little bit about the great John Wooden and how his philosophy off the court had everything to do with his success on it. Wooden realized early on when he was teaching English that people should measure success not on the results of their efforts but on their efforts alone. Wooden led his student athletes with a humility and understanding that if you prepare and work as hard as you can, then you have already succeeded. Wooden said his greatest pleasure was seeing players with mediocre talent become important contributors on championship teams. Even more important to Wooden was watching the young men he coached go on to be doctors, lawyers, teachers and husbands and fathers.
