Canon Benjamin Norman, ICKSP currently serves as Representative of the Institute of Christ the King at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Oakland, California. He was ordained in 2018.     In Today's Show: I am curious about what Jesus called the First Commandment, that is to love the Lord your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole mind, and with your whole strength. It seems to me to be a selfish God who would actually command his followers to love him. I thought love was something that should be freely given, or it is not real love. Can you explain this from a Catholic perspective? If I go to Mass on Sunday at 4PM, does that fulfill my Sunday obligation? Can you please explain the ICKSP's Coat of Arms? Should people who are sick, and/or pregnant and nursing mothers, fast and abstain from meat as penance, even if not recommended by their doctors? What is appropriate and not when it comes to end of life care?  Does the Bible say anything about the age of the Earth? My grandchildren are unbaptized. Can I baptize them in an emergency?
