The Bible-word for church means “the called out ones,” therefore the root of the word is the people. We are the body of Christ, the bride of Christ. Any local church is a gathering of believers who have bound themselves together under the banner of Christ. This is who He died for and the ones He will use to change the world. What God does, He does forever. What He begins, He completes. “He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” This beautiful promise is given to His church, His body of believers, His family of faith, whom He works in and with and through.
