#12: John Roth

from Type One Run Podcast

This week I speak with mountain biker, pilot, and T1D John Roth. John was an airline pilot when he got diagnosed with T1D, and is leading the fight to allow T1Ds to fly commercially. John and I talk about his experiences with being a T1D athlete and his ideologies for nutrition and diabetes care. John is a huge inspiration to me, especially since he has found such incredible control with multiple daily injections of insulin as well as a very low carb diet. John also talks a bit about being an active participant in your own diabetes care. About Type One Run Type One Run is a grassroots movement of ordinary people dedicated to building support, community, and awareness for those affected by type 1 diabetes through running. We encourage anyone of any ability to get involved. (Website | Instagram | Facebook) Join the Type One Run Community Facebook group Type One Run is a program of the Beta Cell Foundation
