Whether it be through money, time or energy, we should give to those in need – but it is vital that we give with the right motivation too! This sermon unpacks Jesus’ words on giving to the needy and challenges us to examine our own motivations for giving and to also consider the impact of our actions on those in need. We see that true acts of charity come from a place of selflessness without any desire for personal gain, public recognition or people’s approval. Be encouraged about the kind of giving that pleases God and the kind of giving that God rewards.
