Born in Japan, Kaoruko grew up in Santa Monica, California (USA) and moved back to her native country at the age of 12 before returning to the US four years later. Kaoruko holds a BA in Psychology from Oglethorpe University, an MBA from Georgia Tech and she is currently enrolled at the Harvard Extension School for a Master in Educational psychology.After graduating with her MBA Kaoruko took over the role of CEO at Watanabe Academy, a consulting education firm which was founded by her mother in 1984 and is headquartered in Tokyo.In our conversation, we talked about identity and the importance of finding yourself, working with family, the evolving place of women in Japanese society, education and her vision for the Watanabe academy.Entre-Elles is pleased to introduce you to this smart, determined and principled woman. 🇫🇷 Cette semaine, Entre-Elles vous emmène a la rencontre de Kaoruko Magnier-Watanabe, Présidente de la Watanabe Academy à Tokyo au Japon.
