12:Seema Bery - Living the Ideal: Do Good, Be Good, Appreciate The Good

Send a textAnd she is doing it all with unabashed passion; from appreciating the city she was raised in, to loving the small town in Ohio that was her introduction to practicing medicine in America, to serving on the front lines of Covid with all her might, to crediting her adopted country with the values of generosity and selflessness. Seema fondly and proudly recalls her progressive upbringing with influences that ignited a sense of giving and self confidence, and recounts her journey of becoming a physician with a focus in geriatrics. She traces the path she took to get here and the choices she made that satisfied the standards she set for herself. She recalls the challenging, dark time of Covid, but in doing so, focuses on the positive again. Her love for her husband and her children comes through clearly in her recollections and reflections, as does her love for her country - in fact both her countries. In the end she eloquently shares her desire to give back to one of them based on an ideal that she imbibed in the other.
