#12 START DOING These Things If You Want To FIND LOVE WITHIN TODAY | Adil

from Great Men Are Built By Mathew Muskeyn · host Mathew Muskeyn

START DOING These Things If You Want To FIND LOVE WITHIN TODAY Growing up, Adil was no stranger to the pressures of high expectations. With an Eastern upbringing in a white neighbourhood he soon found himself wondering where he belonged. The struggle with identity, his masculinity, the expectations from his family, body dysmorphia, lack of confidence, a terrible relationship with food, anger issues, and the inability to commit to a relationship finally caught up with him. He decided to begin a journey of self-discovery in order to become the best version of himself. Seeking help and finding new ways to learn how to open his heart and mind was key to unlocking the peaceful man within. This led Adil to create Not Just A Man. The mission of the organization is to get men talking. During this podcast, Adil talks about the importance of men opening up about their mental health and having a safe space to do it. We also discuss how to find peace within and the new version of masculinity. With male suicide rates at an all-time high, something needs to be done on a global scale. We need men to realize that they’re not going through anything alone, that it’s more than ok to ask for help and together we can all find peace within. Adil is a great representation of a modern man embodying the balance between feminine and masculine energy. He facilitates transformation for men on speaking and living in their authentic truth! This is a powerful conversation that is full of emotion and some hard truths. If you’re a man reading this, I encourage you to watch the full podcast, if you’re a woman reading this and you have men in your lives, I encourage you to watch this also and then share it with the men in your lives. Let’s keep raising the awareness of men's mental health.
