12. Triggers (aka: When Rough Sex Triggers Bad Feels)

We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to bring you a very special episode of...the 2HotWives.   Sex can trigger all sorts of physical and emotional responses in the body.  Your heart rate might increase, skin might flush, toes might curl...and all of that can be mind-blowingly wonderful.  But sometimes sex, especially really intense sex, can bring up negative thoughts and emotions. Sex can even trigger memories of negative past events that can really through you for a loop.  In Episode 11, the Wives set themselves a little homework assignment: set up an Impact Play experience. But when Kat creates a MFM scene and directs the guys to be a little rough, it brought up some strong negative emotions for her.  So, the Wives sit down and talk through the issue like best friends do.  And Kat shares how a past experience with domestic violence has shaped some of her attitudes toward sex and starts working through the process of exorcising those demons.  We know this isn't the typical upbeat, sexy topic that you expect to hear from the 2HotWives, but, you know what? Sex is complicated and shit happens, so we decided to go with honesty and authenticity over format (sorry Mr. Ams!)  And, trust us, we will be back next episode with more fun, sexy shenanigans!
