12: Weather, Risk, Models, Behavior VS Talk, Chaos Theory & The Thousand Talents Program

After a brief sojourn into weather and climate change, we talk about risk assessment, modeling, human actions, and behaviors, then segue into the CCPs tendrils via the Thousand Talents Program. The Weather: Blisteringly Hot San Francisco Summers are the coldest winters. Air conditioning makes life livable. The human race is no match for Mother Nature. Framing Questions: every study and survey is wrong Humans suck at risk sensing, but some very complicated models work—probabilistic Risk Analysis and Monte Carlo Simulations, based on quantum computing. Engineers take the reins to do whatever they need to do. Don't listen to what they say; watch what they do. There is chaos in the system. 1000 Talents Program: CCP Chinese Communist Party put in place to highlight exceptional individuals right in China. And also outside China directly, but I sense that they're using it as some kind of cover to get their tendrils into everything and everyone.
