120: You Have No Excuse

from Gym Business Coach Podcast · host Tim Lyons and Randy Angsten

Gym owners need to be ready to open as soon as they get the green light from their state. If you hesitate and wait, your clients will find another place that is open. Clients are ready to go back to the gym. In our case, we have our schedule packed and some clients are on the waiting list. Get your gym ready with the cleaning and sanitizing, and all you have to do so that as soon as you are allowed to open, you are not caught sleeping. There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t be ready. You had several weeks to prepare for reopening. Your clients are waiting for you to reopen the gym. The trend across all gyms that have reopened is that clients are trooping back in. Figuring how to keep clients safe with your team is not a difficult thing to do. As a gym owner, you are smart and should figure this out pretty quickly. You should not buy anything that is being marketed to you as a golden ticket on how to reopen your gym. Save that money.  For states that are yet to reopen, gym owners can be advocates for the health and fitness industry by writing emails and calling their local authorities. Let them know what you are doing and how you plan to keep your clients safe.Key TakeawaysWhy you should reopen your gym as soon as you are allowed to open (02:09)Getting ready to keep your clients safe after reopening (03:13)Capitalizing on the amazing opportunity,  traction and momentum that reopening provides (06:20)Sitting down with your team and figuring how you will make your clients safe (08:06)Why you should not buy anything that is marketed to gym owners to help reopen (08:38)Why gym owners should think about this situation on their own and not rely on some bulletproof script (10:10)How gym owners can be advocates for the health and fitness industry and speak to the local authorities about why they need to reopen (14:07)This is the opportunity for gym owners to come together to ride this tide together, its not the time to destroy your competition (17:56)Additional Resources:www.CLACourse.comwww.ProFitGPS.netMarketing Talk with Fitness Professionals Facebook Grouphttps://PFMarketingSolutions.com/Datawww.PFMarketingSolutions.com/Automationwww.ProfitGPS.comwww.PFMarketingSolutions.com/Call--If you are interested in a free audit for your gym, visit http://bit.ly/free_gym_audit--You can find out more about Tim and the strategies covered in this episode by checking out our website.--Would you rather watch the video version instead?Head over to our YouTube channel to watch this episode by going here--If you don’t already have my book, get your copy FREE here.--Connect with Tim:Schedule A CallFacebookInstagramLinkedInConnect with Randy:FacebookInstagram--Subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Spotify, Google, Stitcher, YouTube or anywhere else you listen to your podcasts. If you haven't already, please rate and review the podcast on Apple Podcasts!
