Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama are two house experts from the island of O’ahu. Tristyn is a design expert who is also a licensed mental health counselor by trade and was the CEO of the nonprofit Kokua Support Services, where she continues to serve on its board of directors. She hosts HGTV’s new show, Renovation Aloha with her husband Kamohai. Kamohai is a full-time real estate developer and part time landscape photographer. In their show, he identifies and acquires rundown properties with potential on the island of O’ahu and Tristyn oversees the home renovations and designs. Together they search for the perfect families to move into their new home. They also have a podcast called Deals and Aloha and a YouTube channel where they highlight other investors and business owners, and educate others on how to invest in real estate. In this episode we talk about being the trailblazers in their families, getting into real estate while being in debt, their new show on HGTV, their love story, creating generational wealth, and so much more.
