2016 has been a horrible year for all sorts of reasons, but sometimes you do forget that this is the year that we heard some incredible music. Whether it's that random tape from Gainstage back in March, or that Egyptian supergroup the Dwarfs of East Agouza, or whether its the latest from mind-blowing Lewisham grime group The Square, or whether it's one of the other seven tracks we have on this look back at some of our favourites from a year we're all hoping to put to bed soon...
