Right, I'm making, we're talking DC times, cafe. Yeah. Not skateboard cafe anymore. Is it, I think they dropped the skateboard, they just, or are they just calf?

Are they the English calf or is it a cafe? Or does it really matter? Yeah, I don't know. Probably, I can imagine by time, short and down to calf.

A little bit less officials, the skateboard cafe. Yeah. But who knows? So nice little colab mates.

So you were saying, I actually did see this when it first kind of dropped. Nice. The drop on the, I think I got an email from DC. And I saw it, you know, seeing the OG K-list, and we'll get into the product in a minute, you know, we'll dive deep into it.

Yeah. But when did this actually come out? It's came out a little while ago, fairly recently. But I think so, like, the official release was February.

But, yeah, the initial date was sometime in February. I'm just going to get it up right here. I got third of February. You got fourth?

I got the fourth. So you got the third. The third is on the YouTube. So maybe at least the video on the third to start the hype.

Yeah. And then release it on. And that could have been the different, you know, maybe it was released a day earlier in the States or something like that. There was, you know, DC notorious for getting a few things wrong and maybe just not giving the information out.

I think, as it always happens, one random country gets it and they don't get told it's going to, you guys aren't supposed to have this yet. They don't know because they've just been fucking giving it by DC. I think in a couple of random countries it was sold early. Yeah, fourth of February.

Really, you know, it's nice seeing DC do the proper skate colabs. You know, they've done butter goods not too long ago. You know, they've done a nice little, obviously they hook up with sabotage a lot. They've got a little Deadpool marble one, which I kind of like that, but I prefer real colabs.

Yeah, and I think it can be a bit hard sometimes when they try marble colab or film colab. It can be good, but hard to do at the same time. You always feel like there's someone in marketing who... Yes.

He has to worry. It doesn't matter what he cares about. He might know that some of the products whack, but he knows what's going to sell. And he's like, you know, we're going to have to do these, you know, these garish t-shirts.

Yeah, of course, everyone wants a nice DC marble logo t-shirt, a nice simple clean. Because the logo combo is my favourite thing in a colab. Anyway, it's how you amalgamate logos together, which jump in straight back to Cafe, DC. They've done it perfectly, beautifully.

Really well. Elegantly. You know, it's a really... It's on point compared to that Deadpool one that was...

Yeah. There's a couple of nice little pieces in there, but mostly just a little bit garish, a little bit whack, a little bit. You're selling to kids, really. And that's the problem.

When you're doing a, like, a Star Wars or a Marvel sort of colab, with certain, you know, companies, yeah, you could... Board graphics, you can get some sick ones from a board graphic, because it doesn't always have to be intended to be skated. It could be a wall hangover that's skated. If you want, same with like hoodies and t-shirts, you know, you can kind of get away with a louder t-shirt than you can an OG style skate shoe with a brand new dead-pull face or what accents on there.

It kind of throws you off a bit, isn't it? Because you kind of like, I like the shoe, but I think the graphics are a bit crazy right now. Yeah, it's... And how many times do you know where it?

You know, it's one of those things. I've got these Wolverine bands that I haven't really worn that many times. I think I spoke about before. Yeah.

And occasionally, you know, in the summer, I might slip them on me, you know, but it's... I'm not a Vans era, you know, the classic Vans. So I'm a... I'm a Rowdy XL team man, but I'm not the super skinny Vans.

I still need a little bit of meat around the Vans. But that was done quite well in terms of it. It's grey with the white sole with just the orange and tan Wolverine, just on a side panel, but nothing too dramatic. Nothing too dramatic.

It's one of them that... I bought it because it's Wolverine. You know, I had to buy it, but initially it kind of put me off wearing it day to day. Well, two sides of it.

I didn't want to ruin the shoe, but I also... It wasn't really my scene anyway. So it was kind of one of those things. It's not like a S XL slim had the same sort of coat lab.

You'd probably fuck it. You'd wear it a lot and you'd probably skate in it eventually because you've got me in your feet at the time. It's one of those things where I couldn't think of anything worse than skating in some fucking Vans era's meat. Smash my feet up.

Oh, yeah. You hurt? Yeah, I think kind of like what we're alluding to for most collabs, especially with the more not so skate-related ones, it's hard to do it right. And you know, the marble and huff and other people have done a really good job.

And sometimes staying away from shoes is probably your best bet. Sometimes not, you know, depending on the market. You know, I'd probably rather have me a set of Star Wars DC slippers than a pair of actual shoes. And then it don't matter what you slippers look like, they're inside.

Yeah, slippers, I mean, I mean, you know, Ashley's got a pair of like rabbits, you know, slippers. I can slip up, you know, they really fit me. But if the floor was cold, maybe I've got some stone floor here, if the floor was cold in there at the bottom of the stairs, I'm going to slip them on, you know, they'll keep most of my foot worn. I don't give a fuck about what my slipper looks like.

It could be super scary. Same as the Jarmers mate. Jarmers up at the bottom, some shorts. You can go a little bit wild.

Yeah, a little outlandish and have fun. Yeah, it's like you're saying, kind of a day-to-day thing. You want to still be aware of it day-to-day. You still want it to have a classy look.

You know, kind of a cheekiness to it. A little bit of colour to it, but not kind of just loud, you know, just like the multi-coloured, every single marble character all over is too much for me anyway. Yeah. I'm sure a nine-year-old boy would love it, you know, but I might have had it when I was younger as well.

I might have had that, usually when I was younger. But it's a bit different now. You know, you want something a bit clean, a little bit classier. Yeah, not just a mess of all these things.

Let's go and say, should we jump into the products? Rather than the videos, we'd do the products first and then... Yeah, I've got a couple of the products here, wouldn't we? Well, yeah, you can break down the story, don't you?

This is the way this kind of reignited, where a little bit late, a little bit kind of, a couple of weeks late, not too late, but a couple of weeks late. As you said, you've got to hook up. You've got the merch, if you want to elaborate on that, mate. Speaking to my good friend, Apple Jack, Jack Appleton, shout him out.

Worked at Keaton and obviously Westgate Care, in as a locator. And Jack kind of gave me the heads up that something DC-related was going to go down. I said, well, you know, gonna have to get in there and I need to give you some money or whatever, let me know. And they just hoped it up, yeah, he managed to sort it out for me and put pretty much the whole collection aside for me.

I haven't got all of it here, but I've got some of the main shoes, and I'll quickly throw it out now. We've got a real nice DC shoes skate-calf board with loyds in the background. That's really nice. That is classy, yes, but I haven't seen that.

Oh, nice, well, I haven't seen that, okay. Yeah, that is classy as fuck. If you didn't know, Loyds is a super famous spot in Bristol. Where these boys shred, basically.

This is almost like a UK love park sort of deal. You know, it's got, it's got, it's like, it probably is on par with Southbank, you know? Like, Southbank gets all the, a lot of the notoriety, but I would still say a lot of heavy shit and a lot of super six-gating has gone down there. And I bet you, you know, in the days of, you know, like the Brian Weddings DC era, I'm sure when they did the tours, wedding would be probably looking to go to Loyds before, if you'd look to go to most places because you'd be getting the SSTS in which we did, which we did see in the video itself, which was nice.

But yeah, that's a sick board mate. That is a proper, so landscape, black and white picture, almost the, you know, the presidential shot of Lloyd's, you know, if you quickly bounce, you might think it's a White House or something, then you'd see it all and see the stairs. Yeah, that's not, so surely you ain't gonna touch that mate. Surely that ain't gonna.

I have to. Ah, nice, nice. One of them may have a little blemish on there. So that one can be free to be used, and the other one can be free for a hanger.

Perfect, perfect. So, you never know, it's a, it's in the size range mate, so I could get it to touch one day if I wanna do the full-length sounding. Yeah, exactly, yeah, that's it mate. Well, going on from there, we'll just, we'll just do the main two pairs of shoes.

I'm gonna start off mate with the box again, sporting the same graphic, but in a wider, wider overall angle of Lloyd's. Like, say, that is the presidential shot mate. That is so, so nice seeing the whole width and, girth of the plaza, you know, it kind of opens up, it kind of gives you a better idea of the actual, what the location is. If you haven't skated it, you know, it kind of just says, it's a nice, big old, big old plaza for you to straight around.

Yeah, that's it. And yeah, just, we've become at Lloyd's, it is the Lloyd's Bank for people who didn't know that out of the country. So yeah, another one, well, a bit of more of a question really, but maybe South Bank, but how many true boxes have an English skate spot on it? Obviously English Colab, but a big American brand here.

I'm trying to think, maybe South Bank has had one, it wouldn't surprise me on probably thinking straight past it right now, I don't think any. Yeah, I would say South Bank must have featured. Maybe not a picture, it might be like, you know, save SB or the South Bank sort of logo or. The pillar, you know, the concrete of the pillar, you know, that sort of deal, but.

Not that I can think of. No, I can't think of anything even, mate, you know. It's a real special touch for the English side of things, which is really nice. And it's cool that a big company like DC is still, like I talked to a touch on the start of the episode, they are, when they're doing Colabs with these legit skate companies, at least they're diving deeper.

Yeah. Let's go for the whole thing, let's try and make this as special as we possibly can. Without, you know, they're not gonna do a, a Stevie Williams approach on it, man, because let's not beat around a bush. Stevie Williams having like a shoe release board package deal.

That's Stevie fucking Williams, one of the greatest of all times. So it might happen, it might happen, but for the time being, it's still a fucking sweet, sweet code up. Yeah, definitely like you're saying, given the smaller company on the grand scheme of things, a real deep dive into a little glimpse of the world. So let me start off here, I'll do the clockers.

The clockers. We got a nice all blue kind of top suede with the kind of like rubbery accents, gum sole, white round. We've got the nice, cath logo, DC cath logo on front, really nice logo. High quality laces in there as well, mate.

Let's not forget that. Yeah. We got two pairs, yeah, nice, real nice thick, thick strong laces and, see if I can, can't get out right now. It's a hooked it glued in there.

We got a Lloyd's Ensole as well. Nice. So really, really fucking cool. And while I'm remembering, I can't, maybe it's a DC pure back in the day, Milton King's bus station on the inside, just the inside said the buzzy.

And I can remember someone who locally issued the buzzy was really fucking stoked on that. Funnily enough, Lafe Stanley was probably there at the time shredding for motive, probably in some DCs at the time, probably peers or something like that. Quite popular at the time. Yeah, definitely.

But yeah, I can kind of come around in a full circle there. I was just got the little blurb about the collection and I'll just touch on the clock. It's just saying the blues, represent the water in the blue brick found around Plaza. So it's a, the blue is, yeah, so they are choosing that color for a reason.

It isn't just, I mean, maybe it's a cool blue, you know, it's a nice, nice and blue mate, but at least there's a little bit of kind of story behind that as well, which I do like. Yeah, that's really cool. Yeah. It's a clean looking shoe, that little gums I'll touch mate, I really like and obviously that little heel pull on the back there with the little cafe on there.

It's nice without being overly gimmicked. You know, it's still a good solid skate shoe. Without kind of chucking trumpets and cafe, you know, cafe or gimmicks shit all over it. It's a classy touch.

Yeah, and out of the two shoes, probably not the most raved about, but seeing it in person, really, really impressed actually, really nice, definitely going to enjoy skating this or just wearing it up for the other clock because I have which I didn't think I would. So really sweet. Nice. All right.

And then, yeah, we got the K-LIS OG sit colorway. First time I saw it was in the post in person. Yeah, proper classic style, classic colorway. On the back here, we got the Lloyd's three-block kind of skafed in on the back, which is really cool.

I haven't got the other, oh, I do actually, got the other one here. And I didn't know what this was on the back of here, but Jack informed me on the tiles of Lloyd in the corner of each tile. They've got the diamond sort of square on his edge, sort of thing. So it's just a representative of the tile, which is really cool spec.

Like you would know like any skates what you go to, like the train station, anywhere, you're going to have specific little markers everywhere and it's kind of cool to see these references just tops off a little bit more. And really subtly done, mate. Yes. Again, they could have, they could have fucked up, they didn't, you know, they're not classy little bit of embroidery.

They could have really kind of, like, by the kind of left it clean, which would have been cool. Yeah. All they could have ruined it. They could have gone heavy on something.

They could have gimmicked it. Just if you know, you know sort of deal. Yeah. But let you say, make such a nice, colorway, like light gray, white soul with the gum just wrapping round it, which is obviously a favorite of mine.

I fucking love that. And what's good to know is that, you know, once they found out that they had an opportunity to put this color out together, you know, skate cafe, like obviously they're going to be able to pick and say what should we want, and they're riders going to be able to say what should we want. Yeah. And the fact that they're going for that shoe, you know, you have to go for that shoe.

If you don't touch that shoe, what the fuck are you doing? Yeah. You know, I would have, I mean, I'd have probably gone with William's hand. If I was going to be greedy, if I could get away with it, I'd try.

Just because I've iconic the Steve Williams shoe is, you know, and how you can play around with the colorways, nice and on that shoe, but they did a good job on the clock. But you could have just, I'm sure there would have been a way of making, you know, those levels of blue throughout the Williams, you know, you could have had a different tone blue on the top to the side to the bottom, you know, but still a good choice. But I'm just saying, if it were me, mate, I'd have to push my luck and see if I could get a Williams, a Williams and a K-list together. Yeah.

Right behind you there. Maybe I'd have tried to slip in a little link or something if I could have helped it. Yeah, of course, mate. I mean, if the third shoe is going, then we're going to get a links.

We're going to get a links in areas. Oh, mate, we have a couple of links. There's two links colorways. Yeah, exactly.

But hopefully that's going to be what we're going to see in the next collab. You know, this one does well. And these skaters, you know, which we'll look at the video, they fucking shredded it. It's a nice, unique, some classic shit and some super unique stuff that I've never seen done at the Lloyd's or even on Outledges in general.

You know, the end there in particular, mate, is a fucking crazy. Unconnected, unexpected, and really fucking sick. Yeah, yeah, definitely. It's a groovy one that one.

So you must be super hyped to have those in front of your mate. You know, I'm smiling seeing you with them because obviously you're the person to have them in your hands, you know, I'm happy for you to have them in your hands. But you must be so, you could just let lead them on a mantle or something for ages. Can you just?

Yeah, exactly. Pins them out on the side and just appreciate them as I pass them. Yeah, fucking super stoked. Anytime I get like a reissued shoe, especially like a DC obviously, can be more stoked.

And then to have it from an English company with some English roots behind me, knowing that I can, you know, look in these shoes and see some lace, semi, shredding up in these. And, you know, occasionally here, see any of the other guys from America who ride the DC factory was also wearing these. Makes me really happy. You know, they're floating about with a bit of loy, but a Bristol on them.

And yeah, I think that's a really special deal. Not many people get to make a K-list. There have been a couple of random K-list collabs throughout the past couple of years, but not too many of them being unexpected or whatever. And I think this was really, really cool touch.

I don't know the last time Kayla's been to Europe, but it's been a long time. I know though that we had the Shanahan come through about probably about four years ago on a DC tour, I think like Jacko and all those boys were there. And they had one of those, it might have been like a Keene kicker or something at Lloyd's. And he was boosting the shit out of it and just manning it up, shredding it up.

And not too long ago, we had kind of the love park, Newney boys, Kevin VU and all those other guys come through and post up at Lloyd's for a couple of days or two. And that was really special to see, see everything merge together as well. Yeah, because if you think about like the love park and the steps around the fountain mate, you know, I love seeing those, like one of those things I'd have loved to have hit some sort of basically line up there or got like a, if you get manual just round that curve and down, you know, obviously you'll be thinking about some flipping flip out shit or something, but I'll just get manual. Just a manual.

All the way, you know, you'd be, so, but for them I'd imagine it's, there's that similar sort of pool, because it's, if you haven't been there, you can grow up somewhere. It's always a bit more enticing, it's a bit more cool. You know, what do I got there? What can I do there, yeah, exactly?

Yeah, so it's, it's, it's got that same sort of vibe that you play around with it in the same way that you can play around with that love park fountain, you know, steps, it's got the same sort of build, you know, drop down and pop up, you know, obviously it's a little bit more linear, I suppose. It hasn't got as many kind of grind or. Yeah, looping background. Yeah, but yeah, I just think it's a cool concept that these, I think this is probably gonna grow and get more American skaters, or Canadian skaters to come and shred up loyds after kind of after this push.

Yeah, and I think, I think you're definitely right. A lot of them probably wanna come over to London, hit the famous spots that you see online, whatever, St. Paul's, whatever, but definitely it should be, like how Milton Keynes used to be added back in the day on like a big tour, a lot of the places, New York Milton Keynes got those long ledges and sort of manis, whatever. So things like that, definitely gonna be a little, or what about that spot?

You know, I'm sure a lot of them just don't know all that's over here in Bristol or whatever, but it's gonna start popping up now because people are gonna be asking. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I'm Bristol is a heartbeat of the skateboard industry. It's still, you know, still a whole infirm, but you know, distribution was huge, and it still is pretty big there, but it's moving around the country a little bit, so it's not necessarily like, you know, it's still a big deal, but going back to Milton Keynes, mate, just a shout out to Milton Keynes, I was lucky enough to skate, Southbank quite a lot, because my uncle lived in Corbin Gardens, so I could just go and stay with him and skate around London.

So I've skated a lot of the famous London spots when I was young, you know, I was lucky enough, but there's spots around the UK, and Milton Keynes is what, you know, I'm gonna say spots, locations, and Milton Keynes is that one, but when I got older, you know, it was a better skate, and it was a good time to do skate because I was a bit more refined. But when you got to Milton Keynes, mate, it was like, you're a fucking kid in a candy shop. You're like, where are we going? What gap are we going to throw down some big stairs?

Yeah, you're going anywhere. Are we going to find, you know, those ledges down that, I'm trying to think of the name of it now, that kind of like the alleyway sort of road with the fucking perfect ledges, it's got like two or three ledges all the way on the side down it. You're just skating in the middle of it. I know where those ledges are.

Yeah, it's, you know, you had everything, and also like outside, so you had the buzzy itself, the bus station, but even around that, like, yeah, outside of the bus station. The train station, yeah, yeah, yeah, and you had the, like, there was some big statue, I wouldn't be able to tell you what it was because we were looking at the statue of the house right in the middle of that, but all the ledges around there, every fucking ledge, every ledge around there was scatable. It is, it is a very special place for England. Milton Keynes is a weird one, like, when they first built it, it was almost like a futuristic town and Americanized everything in kind of more of a grid pattern, which is great, but navigating skating around, you can just, you know, hear there and everywhere.

And at that sort of time, there was a big cruising, big skate cruising, Milton Keynes, put on big videos that coincided with London, and a lot more pros, it was definitely, they were going to Milton Keynes, they were doing a demo or getting a clip for whatever. So yeah, definitely, definitely sweet. Yeah, Milton Keynes was always one of those places that I just, you had that electricity when you got there. You know, when you just arrived parked up or whatever, and it's like, I can just skate, end of the day, skate, London is different because you can't just, you can, but it's a bit dodgy, the same as New York, you know, I've skated around New York, you know, I've hit the flashing meadows and stuff like that.

But if you skate around town, like fucking, for sure, you probably are going to get hit by a fucking car, you know? It's difficult. It's the busiest fuck. Yeah, you best be Mark Soudhu and have a fish and feet to be able to keep yourself, you know, in parallel, you know, away from the road.

Even Oxford sometimes, you know, you're fucking slipping and tripping and diving around people, you've got to make them, you know, you're making noises, you know, buses are running overboard and shit. It's the same sort of thing, obviously, just 10 times the size and 10 times the people in hustle and bustle we're going on, same in New York. You've got to be careful, you know, you could be skating in the wrong place and you might need to run out or fight your way out, you know, there's going to be everything there for sure. But yeah, really enjoyed the edit.

Did you want to do a run through with that? Yeah, that's definitely, yeah, it's, don't it, I would just touch it before we'd just be going over there, I've just touched on the nice little t-shirt I've seen on the range. Yes. I can let you know about something other if you want.

And a classy little hoodie, great top, like around the shoulders and like, is it a navy? Yeah, so it's a navy, navy blue and grey with a cath logo, kind of like a two-tone old-school feel to it. Right, so this isn't an official skate campaign, is it? Should we just have it going and just have a little chat about it?

Yeah, that's it, we'll have it play through and just have it out it comes, I guess. So the skate as we've got in here is Josh Arna and the Lafesamie, isn't it? Yep, that's right. I know a little bit of Josh Arna footage, but I've only seen so much sort of the cath videos we've caught here in there, obviously quite a big fan of Lafesamie growing up, visiting Milton King's a lot, they had the motive skateboards, he was a really cool part of that.

So naturally I was really excited to see this footage. We did a skate-calf companion maybe a year or two ago, but a Lafesamie and the rest of the guys in there, and that was a really good one actually. We did, we were pretty happy with that, won't we mate? I remember the, what did he hit at the end?

Did he hit the big switch drive? I'm pretty sure it was. Yeah, that was, he also, he was. With the lines as well.

Yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah, within the lines. And he was in that ear mate when I was doing a little video edit, so he actually got himself, you know, off of the Instagram, you know, a little bit more time on F it. And he had the, he broke his board on one of them. He broke his, on the switch straight.

So he got, yeah, yeah, I do remember that now. Nice. So yeah, I'm just going to just play it. So we start off with the nice spinning, almost palace-esque, but DC get a pass on the ship because DC have been doing it before anyone.

So, you know, I'm saying it because that's what's more relevant now, but DC are the OG. So let's not forget that. That's it. And we're already in with the, the K-list mate.

We're already, the thing is you're going to have to start with that shoe. If you don't start, you know, all due respect to the, to the blue shoe, mate. The clock is, yeah, we've gone in. You know, that air bubble, you know, we know that shoe.

As a skateboarder, you know, you know this shoe. So straight in with a nice kick-flip and front blunt, just to get this, just to get it going. And just to let, let you know the location, you know, it's just, it's not crazy line, but it's a nice solid line as well put together. And it's like, yeah, we're at Lloyd's.

And I do like the, the little kind of like ride on tail 270 round as well. So nice to whip around. Really nice, 270 out. Love the camera angle for that.

And I just want to say the way it's filmed really, really nice. Is it, would you say that's a proper VX footage or is that some HD kind of, um, great, you know, with a filter over it? It does look pretty crisp. I think it's, I think it's HD, but it's authentically done, mate.

I think that's a, this is the way to do it. Yeah, with a nice, uh, wide angle lens on there, but it works. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And again, just seeing these pushes is really nice and just playing with it, playing with it, you know, doing that kind of like almost like power slid back lip on, on like on the stair between the two kind of platforms.

Yeah, I like that. It's trying that, mate. That could be asking for a power bomb right there. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. So, yes. I was trying to work that early. I was like, how would you like gamble on that?

Actually, I mean, he's confidently just knowing that his back wheels are staying up on the top edge and you, so you're not going to hang up, but in your, in your mind's eye, like you're thinking that you need to like, quick out of it. You know, you need to kind of like lift. He's just, he's just riding around, which is, you don't see a lot, but it's a really nice, it's a clean, it's a super smooth, clean trick. Yeah, definitely really cool there.

Really, uh, really appreciate tricks done with like kind of the drop down flat grinds. Really sneaky stuff. And the cutaways are cool as well, mate. Arthur, he hits that, um, that full cab, um, with a nollie.

Over the barrier. Yeah. You see, yeah, you see in, uh, seeing, you know, opening the shoe boxes and stuff like that. It's a nice, I just, I like that.

Yeah. And obviously bring the barrier out, mate. You know, is you got to do it. You know, if you want to kind of play with, play with DC shoes, you're going to have to get a barrier out at some point.

Yeah. The old backside, how it's like big spin out, you know. Like the, uh, like Sammy and the clockers, the like little drop down, nose, man. He's not very, very flip out for real class.

Mm hmm. Yeah. I would say we did see the switch crook on the, uh, on the barrier as well, mate. Yeah, that's what we need.

You know, switch crook is, you know, okay. Okay. Yeah. And we see, we did have an SSBS and there as well, didn't we?

You got a switch, switch crook. I'm just going back to look at it. And he is a, yeah, SSBS. Yeah.

He's goofy, right? Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, he blessed us.

B SBS Ds. Yeah. That's what we like. And then, you know, you know, as soon as, I mean, when Lave Sammy appears, make with a front side flip down the, down the, the, the, uh, the set, you know, he's arrived.

You know, so wait, that's, yeah, we're in. Yeah. And, uh, just before just after that shot, they did like a little over shot with the fish eye. I really liked it.

So I think it will. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of the B roll is really good.

I mean, just, just looking at the way Lave Sammy could just pinch the motherfucking shit out of anything. Yeah. Probably correct. Me is just so such a nice trip, you know, such a pencil, you know, such a little clean, clean tricking and hitting the nullie.

It's like no one's business. Just absolutely perfect. Over barrier is one of those skaters, you know, you could just watch them all day. Yeah.

That is almost like the prototype of what I like to see in the, in probably you as well, mate. What you want to see in a skater? Yeah, proper bloke skating. Fucking on point trick selection, huge part.

Yeah. I mean, we are getting classic DC shit as well. We get to switch heel over the barrier, you know, we're getting they're kind of hitting, hitting the right marks, you know, even doing that little nose grinder, is it, is it switch or is it, is it regs where you, it's the backside of an AE. Yeah, so is it, I think that is a switch nose grinder reverb.

Yeah. Which is, again, you know, that's a classic. Oh, Steve Williams might put a front shove in there, mate, before and you know, but Steve Williams. Love a little front board on the barrier, on the double barrier with lay folk holding it up there.

Yeah, I really like that as well, mate. It's, you know, that's easy for him, but it's a good iconic stylized sort of, uh, style of sort of shot. You know, I like to see that sort of thing. You do that every day.

You probably hit it for, you probably hit that 10 times and it's round the best one. It's almost like just like a little companion clip, really, you know what I mean? Yeah. To have two of the, two of the guys in the shot.

And then we got the, the last trick. Yeah, you, you almost think, you almost think that the, um, the board side was going to be the last trick and you're thought, well, they can't finish on that, right? When we had, when we had someone to ship before we seen. Yeah, you're almost not too sure what he's going to do.

He's going to flip back nose and go flip, flip back tea, boom, straight into a big long flip back lip slide. Meatey, meet on the big, you know, the big out ledge, boom, we're finished. Officially done as well, mate. You know, the, the dismount, if you wear it all is, I mean, the kick flip is sharp as a motherfucker.

That's not, you know, that's such a sharp kick flip to get yourself in there. I mean, to be fair, there's not another way of doing it because if you're kick looks too slow, you're asking me to power on the end of that ledge. Yep. You always need to be finished, finished early.

So you can keep that momentum going. You can't kind of stomp it and go down because you're going to go down. So it's a sharp, sharp little kick flip in there. But the efficiency of getting out, yeah, it's so easy for them to get out of it.

And for most people, that's not, that's difficult. Yeah, you don't normally see too many backlips on, on a ledge and then on a ledge that's above waist height. And you know, normally see people flinging and rolling out of them on a manned pad size ledges. And it's still good on notes.

Yeah. So yeah, that was a really cool pan of some bricks on the way out. Boom. Yeah, I really liked it worked really well.

Just a little easy one there. If you guys haven't watched it, it's like two and a half minutes long or something like that. Yeah, 219 mate is 219. So no excuse as not to just put it on, enjoy, break it down, you know, dive into it, study some of the tricks, see how these boys are putting some of the shit down or just look at the shoes.

It would just have a little look at the shoes mate. Yeah, exactly. I would just like, uh, no, he hardly look down. I know, I know, I know.

Perfect. But he is, he's a king of it. Is there anyone? One of the tricks.

Yeah. It's like Brandon Turner doing the switch, the switch variety, you know, some people have just got there. But he's still got flavor. I'm not saying it's, it's textbook.

Yes. But it is his own, yeah, his own style for sure. I will just give the show up. So it's filmed and edited by Rich Smith.

No, additional filming by George Nevin. So it might be a few clips by, by George, maybe someone to be well, that might be in a scene, you know, you know, that, you know, yeah, filmed. Awesome. Really like how that's filmed.

Nice up close, especially angles, given us that. And I do like the way, you know, in the UK, hip hop isn't really that prevalent. You know, we enjoy hip hop, don't you? Wrong.

But when you put it with, with, with skating, it's, it's difficult. Yeah, you know, definitely some, some skaters you got the right gimmick. You can do it. Other skaters you do it.

It's a bit forced that you know, you've got to be able to put it in there. And also to keep it authentic, you know, you either got to have like a super good tune, you know, and obviously you've got, you've got to buy that tune, you know, so it's, that's complicated. Yeah. Exactly.

There's, there's complications in it. So this, this tune is some sort of ambient sort of drum and bass sort of deal with it. You know, I don't, I wouldn't be able to describe you, but we, they ain't going to pull this down for this. I'll just, for the listeners, if you haven't, I'll just, but it does have a UK vibe to it.

That's what I'm getting at. It's, it's got that. I don't know. Yeah, it's got exactly, it's got that feel.

Maybe, you know, maybe it's a bit of the palace in there as well that helped kind of grow that feel. Yeah, definitely right. But that almost brings me back to like a motive video or like a whole type video or like, yeah, that, that style probably, you know, 10, 15 years ago, you know, a lot of the, a lot of videos that are going up watching maybe go from side off or some shit. Yeah, but it's solid, solid, solid, edit, mate.

Super nice products. So it's, it's definitely something to check out. Check it on for a little pre session, quick, quick pre session hype, you can watch it on your, on your way down to the skate, sash, um, hope you up to skate lights. I, I actually have never been, I really want to skate it now, really, really want to skate it.

What would you, if you got there, mate, what, what would you, would you want to get like a nice, nice crock on one of the ledges? What, what would be your, what would you want to go for like a class like French of, French of 50 or something? You know, like, obviously I just have, you don't know how, how smooth those guys are grinding. You don't know what you can get away with.

Yeah. Um, it's been nice to try get a real, just a real nice back nose grind and some, just the range of bags I tricks, where that, the like floor cut out step gap is sort of thing. Just, um, I'd like to do some tricks over those. And if that's not too hard, carry mine into a manny drop down or something like that, uh, flow that in with a grind at the end or something, get the barrier out maybe.

Yeah, the barrier would be pretty sweet. The barrier would be nice to try and try and get some nalies or something over it. Get some, get some nice nali frontides or whatever. Yeah, just, you just got to go there.

You got to fill the bricks. You know, I mean, you want to get the, all the textures rolling. You want to feel it all definitely, uh, looks like a real fun spot. Not, not just a quick spot, either.

When you're going to spend almost your full day there. Oh, yeah, mate, you're going to be, you know, that's, that's a session you're probably going to book a hotel, you know, you're going to be like, would anyway, these that, you know, I'd be like, right, maybe hit it, book the hotel and then maybe on the second day you can have a quick last dash. You go back there and just, yeah. Yeah.

You know, I don't know how many of them. I'm sure there's a quite a few nights. I have a little spots and chips to hit around and bristle for sure. So you probably go, you go there first thing in the morning, you'd find it, you have your warm up sesh, maybe even stay there till, uh, till lunchtime, you go out for a bit and you come back and you'd hit it just, just till you're done.

What normally happens in that situation, mate, you go there first, break a board. That's what happens. You have a fresh, you have a fresh board and you snap it straight away. Yeah.

That always happens when you plan, when you plan like to go somewhere and you have a nice, nice skate, there's always that in a, you get excited and you think, well, I'm going to, because a fresh board breaks easier, you know, we all know it. You think, well, it's a fresh board. I feel good on that. I'm going to jump down.

I'm going to jump down to the biggest shit. I'm going to everything's feeling good. I'm a frontside feeling good, but you know, somebody's these maneuvers that feel good. They're board breakers, make some of them like to break a board.

More than others, you know, like pop shoves, for example, like to break a board, you know, they love to break a board. And I'm sure a front shot the same. You've spin that round and just stomp it like you normally would if you're in the wrong position, mate. That board's gone.

Yeah. It's a funny one, whereas like a switch heel for me, I definitely, I'm sure I break a board on a regular heel over a switch heel switch. I think we spoke about before, it's more delicate, new ones, a little trick. It kind of even if it even becomes higher, it doesn't feel heavier, doesn't feel as heavy.

You don't kind of, you got that, no matter how you put it down, you've got that heavier front foot. Yeah, yeah. Which in the right spot, you know, it's a nice switch heel, you fucking put that fucker down with all your weight. Boom.

I mean, even, even you kickflip, you do it a bit wrong. You fucking land a bit nose heavy or something, or your back foot is a little bit, a little bit closer to the middle than it should be. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, you get there, you get, you get to Bristol in the morning, you've got your fresh deck, you're keeping it calm, you keep, you've done the warm ups, you're hitting the first set, you're doing your show that off, or whatever you're doing, you're backside 180 bam, your tail's gone, the rest of the day you're finding the skate spot, spending all your lunch money.

Yeah. But it's the thing, the thing is, you're probably just on flat, on flat, you know, you're probably just, you're doing some backside when it is and feeling good. You're feeling good and you've got some nice grippy new shoes on as well. You've got the K-list DC caps on your feet.

So they're hitting some nice grippy, so they're pulling, you know, hitting some nice pulled up back 180s and you're just getting carried away and they're getting bigger. Yeah. You know, so you're the one that you laid a law down on. You maybe don't break away through it, but you hear that noise.

You know, you're like, yeah, am I going to last a day of it? Normally you can last a day of it. But a springy bod for the rest of the day. Yeah.

I suppose you just hope it's on the nose, right? Yeah. Well, you're going to be skating your nose for the rest of the day anyway. Yeah.

We might as well leave it there. Yeah. I think about a nice little run down of the DC Times Cafe, Calf, Skateboard Cafe, writing that, you know, what you wanted to call it in the next episode. But yeah, it was nice, mate.

Any last words on it? I think they did a fucking sweet job. Well done, fucking fair play. Yeah.

I'm just stoked to see the English DC collab with the skate cap do really well. So fuck yeah. Yeah. Nice and boys.

Peace.
