from Movie Meltdown

Movie Meltdown - Episode 123 This week we hang out at one of our favorite stops - WonderFest. A sci-fi, horror & movie special effects convention that features the largest model contest in the U.S. Join us as we talk to amazing artist Belle Dee. You've seen her featured in Rue Morgue and Little Shop of Horrors magazines - plus she just received the Rondo Award for “Fan Artist of the Year”. Then we sit down with the “First Lady of Classic Fantasy and Horror”, actress Caroline Munro! Plus we talk to miniature and modeler royalty - Lorne Peterson. He was primary modeler and model shop supervisor at Industrial Light and Magic in a career that lasted 33 years! Lorne literally helped create the Star Wars universe we came to know and love, as well working on the Indiana Jones series, Men in Black, Jurassic Park and countless other films. And somewhere in the middle of looking at all the models, we bring up… League of Gentlemen, getting kidnapped in Argentina, Yamaha snowmobiles, My Little Pony Mash-ups, Jim Carrey, And Soon The Darkness, The Rock saying bad words, Peter Cushing, Richard Kiel, Let's Go to Prison, Karl Urban, reading’ and zombies, Geek Hipsters?, Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter, Roger Moore, hugging John Schneider on a daily basis, Joe Spinell, a badass pony?, The Smallville finale, f-ing up The Grinch, The Hamburglar, Pitch Black, skullet’s aren’t a good look for anyone, Klingon zombies?, $2 mini water, cutting with an X-acto knife, The Last Horror Film, fresh baked cupcakes from Bo Duke, a clenched fist in a glove, Race to Witch Mountain, Maniac, Vinyl model kits, The Spy Who Loved Me, I Love You Phillip Morris, problems with the Death Star, European filmmaking, Michael Rosenbaum‘s career, getting killed in Australia, The Horde, Christopher Lee, The Truman Show, Amber Heard, The Chronicles of Riddick, sleeping on the script, Doom and a more efficient Japanese toilet. Spoiler Alert: Minor plot point spoilers for I Love You Phillip Morris and The Horde and a major plot point spoiler for And Soon The Darkness. “I used to do model cars, I ain’t gonna lie. I was pretty f-ing awesome at it. But I‘m awesome at most things." Thanks to everyone who talked with us at the show. Three friends take some of cinema’s much loved (or unloved) films and, for better or worse, stir in a different cast (it’s usually worse). A must listen for film and comedy fans alike.Cast-A-Role is filled with delicious humour, bad language, dubious opinions, and delectable movie trivia. Explicit The Midnight Cinema Screening Unkn  Welcome to The Midnight Cinema Screening. This is basically the place where we hang out after midnight and talk about movies and TV shows that stuck with us… the good, the bad, the weird, and the ones that probably shouldn’t exist but somehow do. I also talk about true crime. If you love horror, cult classics, creepy shows, and the occasional random deep dive into something strange, you’re in the right place. Nothing here is super scripted or overly serious. It’s more like sitting around with friends after a late-night movie, breaking down what worked, what didn’t, and the moments that made you pause the screen and go, “Wait… what just happened?”Some episodes we’ll be reviewing movies. Some we’ll be talking about TV episodes. And sometimes we’ll just go down a rabbit hole about the weird history behind something we watched. So if you like late-night movie talk, dark stories, and conversations that feel a little unfiltered Explicit
