#123 Fire festival 2 Hihuri Shinji 火振り神事

こんにちは。 ジェニのピカピカ日本語へようこそ。 Today, I would like to introduce you to another fire festival, the Hi-furi Shinji ritual in Kumamoto. The "Hifuri Shinji"火振り神事 (fire sprinkling ritual) will be held at Aso Shrine 阿蘇神社 in Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture 熊本県.   This is a ritual to celebrate the marriage of the Princess Goddess 姫神 the National Dragon God 国龍神 the rice-growing festival to pray for a good harvest in the Aso region. When a bundle of thatch at the end of a rope is lit on fire and swung around, a ring of flames overlaps each other, decorating the temple at night.
