123: The Adventures of Sweaterman – A Conversation with Mark Newport

In this episode, we speak with textile artist Mark Newport about superheroes who knit their own suits and men who are called to heal and mend. Mark’s work has been featured in the prestigious Hangzhou Triennial of Fiber Art 2019, China and in the 2019 Rijswijk Textile Biennial in The Netherlands, is included in the collections of museums around the US, and can be viewed at the offices of Progressive Insurance and Microsoft. He earned his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1991.
