from The insuleoin Podcast - Redefining Diabetes

Part 2 of Eoin's chat with Lucas Clarke (@clarke.73).Lucas has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for just over 1 year. He is an exceptional weight lifter training out of Glasgow City Barbell, and has recently competed in the British Weightlifting Championships.Lucas had a rough few years leading up to two separate conditions; Crohn’s Disease and Type 1 Diabetes. But despite these rough times, where Lucas admittedly was the ‘lightest and weakest’ he’s ever been, almost close to dying, he’s since consistently beaten his personal best in the gym, has represented Scotland in the sport he loves, and competed in the British Championships! All while learning to appreciate the smallest moments in his life.As always, be sure to rate, comment, subscribe and share.
