1249 BC: Ramesses II and the Battle of Kadesh

During the timeline of Judge Ehud, Ramesses II led Egypt to its territorial high water mark in history. In the thirteenth year of his reign, Ramesses II was declared a god on earth and within a year of this declaration he was engaged in a battle for his life with the Hittite empire, in the battle of Kadesh.
