125 – Revive Yourself – Farid Herrera On Movement That Matters

from Revive Yourself Podcast With Ryan Martin · host Revive Yourself Podcast With Ryan Martin

On today’s show, we have another one of my coaches and friends, and that man is Farid Herrera.   Farid is a movement coach, and he specialises in helping people unlock their bodies and improve their flexibility so they can get a full range of motion in order to express and improve their movement quality.   His approach is not one size fits all which you see from many coaches. He recognises that everyone is unique and therefore needs a program that is tailored to them.   Farid’s knowledge and expertise come from the fact that he has been practising movement from a young age, preferring to play with friends jumping on and over bars, than to play any traditional sports. It’s this love of all things movement which has to lead him to his path to being a teacher today.   In the episode we discussed:   * How Farid got interested in movement * How his introverted side helped him study movement at a deeper level * Farid’s journey to becoming a coach * How it’s important to be happy feeling uncomfortable if you want to progress * Why not being attached to the outcome helped him not get injured * Why enjoying the journey is more important than the destination * The best movements for people to do to keep flexible You can find Farid here: https://www.faridherrera.com Enjoy the show and don’t forget to share it with your friends and family, as well as writing a comment, or a review on iTunes.
