125: Simplified Habit Stacking

from Time to Pivot

Interested in creating some new habits and need the motivation or time for them? Try incorporating the new things with stuff you’re already doing. That’s “habit stacking” and it’s truly a life-changer! During a virtual therapy sesh, my girl, Nikki, suggested I find things I’m doing regularly and add in something I can do simultaneously. As a busy working mom, I’m no stranger to multitasking, so this concept proved to be so effective for me. I’m sharing examples of getting in more time with God, journaling, and working out, all while enjoying my fave shows or lounging on the couch with a cup of coffee and taking in the gorgeous ocean view. Highlights: (02:27) What habit stacking means for me (04:22) How I pair rest with something meaningful (06:19) The simple habit that changed my evenings (but kept my TV time!) (11:25) Simplifying a habit so it really sticks (15:30) My biggest reminder: (SPOILER) keep it simple and start smallMentioned:Enjoying the Time To Pivot podcast?
