127. The Ice Storm with special guest Stanley Jacobus

from Movies That Made Us Gay · host Scott Youngbauer & Peter Lozano

"Libbets? What sort of a name is Libbets?" We watched The Ice Storm (1997) with our friend Stanley Jacobus and I think it's time to refill our waterbeds. This family drama is full of killer performances - Joan Allen, Sigourney Weaver and Christina Ricci own this movie.  The 1970's art direction and costume design truly transports us every time we watch. Sigourney Weaver's bountiful hair and gorgeous makeup is enough to keep us revisiting, but her icy (pun intended) performance is the real star here. We all agree Christina Ricci's little red riding hood knit poncho is wardrobe goals but at the end of the day we want to be Sigourney when we grow up.  Thanks for listening and don't forget to subscribe, rate and review us on Apple Podcasts! www.patreon.com/moviesthatmadeusgay Facebook/Instagram: @moviesthatmadeusgay Twitter: @MTMUGPod Scott Youngbauer: Twitter @oscarscott / Instagram @scottyoungballer Peter Lozano: Twitter/Instagram @peterlasagna
