In 2022 Kevin was diagnosed with a rare form of melanoma. A nine and a half hour surgery rebuilt his face using tissue from his own arm and thigh. He thought he had it beat. It came back. By early 2023 he was down to 155 pounds with a tumor the size of a baseball on his face. Canadian doctors wanted to do the same surgery again. His wife said no.
