#128: I Suspect ADHD, but My Child Is Too Young for a Diagnosis
from Shining With ADHD by The Childhood Collective · host The Childhood Collective
It happened again. Another call from the preschool or another comment from a family member about your child’s behavior. Your intuition tells you something is under the surface, but your child is too young for an ADHD diagnosis. This is a hard season to be in! It seems like every week, we get messages from parents of younger children who are struggling with constant meltdowns and challenging behaviors. Today, we will share a few things families can do at home AND school (even without the diagnosis!) to help support your child and make life a little easier. MEET OUR TEAMWe are Lori, Mallory, and Katie. Lori and Mallory are child psychologists, and Katie is a speech language pathologist. We’ve spent decades supporting thousands of families navigating ADHD. And we’re also moms: some of us raising kids with ADHD and some of us navigating it ourselves… which means we understand both the science and the real-life moments that don’t make it into textbooks.LINKS + RESOURCESCreating Calm ADHD CourseEpisode 104: Early Signs of ADHDEpisode 115: Who Can Diagnose ADHD?The Childhood Collective Youtube *Closed Captioning AvailableThe Childhood Collective InstagramHave a question or want to share some thoughts?
